Well, I'm not sure how much I'll post this week, but I hope to get something in here. Thanks to everyone for all the condolences and 'get well' wishes.

But, curiously, it didn't produce the monster stop pop I expected. Very curious.

So, do they want to close cash right at this key spot? Looks that way.

Comes back in an ABCD and BAMM!, deep in the heart of Texas now. 1414. Although 22-23 is the high end area, 14-17 is the meat of it. The key, dead center. Over 30 points since this morning! This market is amazing! Can't be any bears left out there after this. What a perfect finish. I'm ready now. Maybe it will just keep rising. Who knows. Sure looks bullish to me. And to everyone else. Time for some bad news. I'm just looking for a trigger.
Unless this hits and sells off into the open, I'm expecting my favorite contrarian to abandon his short call now that it's up well over 70 points, and flip to the long side with his call tomorrow morning. And that will be the final signal for me that it's go time on the short side. The gun is cocked and aimed, and the trigger has pressure on it. Now it's just about squeezing that first round off..

Has it started? It may have.
As an aside, my favorite contrarian did, indeed, switch to bullish today. Everything is in place. High so far is 18.50. This is one of the most technically beautiful setups I've ever seen. It will be a crying shame if it doesn't play out. But, sometimes that's the way it is.

Not much to say today. Narrow range day, just hanging at the key area. Nominal new high at 19.50. It's as 'there' as there gets. They don't want to let it go. It will likely take some bad news to get it started. Or, maybe it's not going to start. Maybe my favorite contrarian will be 'right', and new highs are coming. Then, again, he called for new lows for almost 70 points up, and as I predicted, flipped to new highs coming the second it got to my key area. So, if he does that kind of stunt enough eventually he'll hit one. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Anyway, they are now running it into the close, to make a strong showing for the Friday close. Trying to prove they have no fear of this area. This usually leads to a pop up Sunday night open. So, maybe that 22-23 is the next stop. That would make three pushes into the area. The best spot, though, really is the highs already set, so I'd prefer a lower high here to form a head and shoulders. But, the way it looks, it seems like new highs are coming soon. It would be a pity, but it may just be. One thing I will make note of, this is going to close looking immensely (immensely) strong. That may mean it is strong, but it may be that game they play. And once they resolve that fiscal cliff, it may be a sell the news, not a buy the news.

Okay, what was I just saying about them making it look strong? Look at what just happened. That is insane. They gave back all that monster run up in a blink. Month end? Index rebalancing? Portfolio rebalancing? Some kind of game? That was just nuts.

Everyone should read these quotes from Thomas Jefferson. The part that trips me out the most is, what is happening, it's all so obvious, how it will end so incredibly predictable in my opinion, yet when it happens 'they' will say there was no way we could have seen this black swan event, it was all unknowable (you know, like they said about the NASDAQ and housing bubbles right before they popped), and they will do their best to help us with the new international monetary system they need to implement (or we're all toast), and we'll believe them, again, and look to them to help us, because 'they are the experts'. It's been going on since ancient Roman times (and before), it's going on now, and people, collectively, are simply incapable of seeing it or understanding it, even when it is explained to them... It's so frickin' sad...
