The area at which ES stopped on Friday wasn't accidental at all.

Interesting that the SPX/VIX ratio just hit another new all-time ratio (based on my information), which took out the high from late last year, and that one had taken out previous highs as well as the previous all-time high from the '07 peak. So, the ratio is in uncharted territory. This is the type of thing one may see at bull market tops, the problem is, how high will the ratio be? All this tells me is the top could happen any day, or down the line a bit. It says the system is ready for the top from this one perspective.

Anyway, 'The Player' just told me he added another 10,000 contracts long in here. He did say this is a lower probability trade than he usually takes, coming right off a key potential resistance area, right near an all-time high, with a 'chart signature' (that my recent mentor students should easily recognize) that says this recent move is likely done. He said it just looks like they are going to push it up for the new high from here regardless. If it stops looking that way he said he'll bail fast. Anyway, I thought that was interesting enough for me to pass on.

BTW, I hate holidays, as far as it taking away trading days. When the market is all you have, then taking the market away for 'holiday time' bites. If I want to spend my time on the market, why take the market away so I can have free time, which I'd prefer, above all, to spend on... the market. But, I'm in the small minority, so it is what it is.

1-2-tick game here? I wouldn't put it past them. Can't they just get it over 1900?... Maybe, maybe not.

So, will it grind out 1900 before the end of trading today, or not? That is the question.
P.S. I can't imagine it not doing it...

Let me rephrase that. I am not saying it will do it. They have all sorts of games and reasons for things that I can't fathom. I mean, seriously, how hard would it be for 'them' to put five ticks on this if they wanted to? Easier than for me to snap my fingers right now, I think. What I'm saying is, it just would seem so strange to me, if I were in their shoes, to want to wait. I can't imagine the reasons why they'd wait. But, then again, I have no idea what they have in mind here. Maybe the 'bull' ends at 1900 on the dot, and they don't want to start that going into a holiday weekend (I give the 'bull' ends at 1900 less than a one in a gazillion chance of happening...). Who knows. All I know (I feel) is how to find setups.

Okay, well another what I think was a fantastic week for trading goes into the history books. See ya all Sunday night. Other than the five hour break on Monday from 10 AM to 3 PM Pacific time, the ES will be trading. It may be light, but they use that to move it, too. Regardless, I'll be there.
