Incredible stuff about this structurally broken market. This kind of stuff is important to keep in mind. In this case it may indicate a huge bounce is coming soon. Or QE4...

Anyway, here's all I need to say. By my data, lows to highs and highs to lows, since the high in the overnight, the ES did four smooth legs, down 52.75, up 30.75, down 47.75, and then up 50.00, for over 180 points of movements in well under one day, and NFLX is down in the aftermarket, from the close to the low, about 124. So: a) Nah, this isn't likely a bear market, it's just a correction, and b) Nah, this isn't the type of action our grandkids will be telling their grandkids about, saying 'Did I ever tell you the story about what trading was like for awhile in my grandfather's day?' 'Nuff said.

And despite the insane ES moves, and the crazy currency moves, I still think the nuttiest thing was treasuries/rates. When do you see the 10-year move over three full points? And rates? A 'normal' day moves maybe 5 basis points. Try about 34 basis points today from close to low, by my data. That's about a seven fold increase in 'volatility'? But, there is no real news to speak of. It's not really going crazy based on any significant news. Nah, the great unwind hasn't started. How long until the Fed comes up with another crazy, wacky scheme to get it moving back up? You know, one of a lot of damage for a little return, but who cares, it's just you and I taking the damage, and it will keep the powermongers in charge a little longer, so why not...

I haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately. That short opportunity there has turned into a point and change shy of a 40 point drop. The movement is just staggering. OMG.

Nah... And even if it did happen, the ES down 400 points from here, whoop-de-do. It's still up like 125% off the lows. Wow, and that's after an '87 style crash?
