Firing it up. Not much to say except I expect the action to be wild, in a 'good' way. Lots of volatility, lots of action.

No, I wake up every hour to hour and a half, and I use the restroom (I don't like to fall back asleep if I feel I have to go, even a little, and I'm a big water drinker), so I just check my screens when I do. When the action is good I sleep on the cot I put in the trading room so it's right there for me. You can always look at the spacing of my nighttime posts, and usually the time before the open, there are gaps, usually multiples of one or one and a half hours, because I'm asleep. It all an optical delusion, I'm not awake constantly. I tried to turn my sleep disorder (frequent awakenings) into some kind of advantage.

I'm curious about the close today. I was thinking 84-85, probably by the open. It's hit 81.75 so far, which is the low end of the grouping. It's showing some signs of being done, but I'm hoping for another push to hit the area deeply. I give it a 50-50 either way. The best timing factor wasn't hit, but the area was, and to me, that's pretty amazing. I also thought that the reaction to the ABCD would be small, and it was, going back to a .382 and obvious area, and then launching again. Incredibly straightforward action. I'm just blown away at how it's following the script.

Here they come. Can they sustain for another full push? Give it to me, baby.

It might just do that lower high pop there, and now it's done. Regardless, I don't care, I'm really happy (that old face crackin' smile I used to get kidded about), but I do want to see how they wrap the day up.

I give the odds of the high being in for the move for the RTH at 99.99999999% now. You never know, though, they could do some crazy spike thing.

That reaction in the ES to the jobs report really was something. The higher the Euro moves, the more excited I get for the short side. I think I would get a lot more pleasure riding the Euro down to the 80's, and into its final end as a currency, than I might get from riding the ES down to 400. Okay, well, it would be a tie, I guess. None of those emotions fit well on a trader, but I'm only human. As long as I can separate the moves I'd like to see emotionally from what the technicals and such say about what movement the odds favor at this moment, I think it's okay.
