How many times on a Friday have I said that's it, I'm going to play golf, I'm done, but didn't because it tends to make a move into the Friday close? Well, I want to break out the clubs right now sooooo bad. I guess that means a run into the close is almost assured...

13.25 point range by my data since the latter part of Wed. That's pretty tight.

It's a long-standing joke. When I was writing the website commentary years back I would constantly try to teach a lesson saying that when the market is like this I'm going golfing. I made many references to golf, as living in Tucson, golf was hugely popular. I would also comment on how I was going to take some time off from the market, play golf, do anything but watch the screens. Again, it was symbolic. Then my longest running student at the time, he was coming down from Scottsdale (outside of Phoenix) to do our work. This was before the days of remote work. Finally, he said he wanted me to come up there and work for a change. See his setup, and so on. But he had one caveat. We were going to play golf (on a very expensive, pristine course the 'rich folk' like him played on up there). It took a lot of stepping and fetching to talk my way out of that one. So, other than having played par 3 like twice, I don't play golf. It's a metaphor, I guess, for any relaxing thing I might go and do.

Yeah, this is a bullish flat/4PT hybrid here, set up as a 'W2', perfect to launch this into the close. I'm not feeling it, though. And the temptation to sweep it out to the downside must be huge. But, if they sweep it this is a situation where I could see them losing control to the downside. So, watch closely how it acts when they do it.

And that begs the more obvious question, was that a bearish flat/4PT hybrid it rolled of off? Heck, yeah. If I was bearish I would have leaned heavily on that. I may look back on that if it does sell hard and wonder why I didn't see it coming... My gut read is the odds just weren't good enough for me to take that.

It's ready to sweep.

And there it is. Now we see if that's all they wanted, or if the air pocket takes over. Being so quiet today, and with the Friday into the close bias, I have to think the odds favor just a sweep. But, it is really heavy up here, and toppy.

You're welcome. I hope you can follow at least some of it. I know it's tough at first.

Thanks Jim. I'm glad it's the weekend so I can study this and review your previous comments. Have a nice weekend. No golfing...(it's not relaxing, just a good walk spoiled as they say!)
