Definition of 'Brian Sack'
Brian P. Sack is the executive vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and head of the Bank's Markets Group from 1 June 2009. He is also the Manager of the System Open Market Account for the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). The Markets Group oversees domestic open market and foreign exchange trading operations and the provisions of account services to foreign central banks.
Mr. Sack has a Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor or Arts in mathematics and economics from the University of Vermont.
