Purpose is to compile important quotes that have been posted in this forum and that have can't miss information whether obvious or read-between-the lines.
This sticky is meant so they don't fall between the cracks.
Most of these are going to be from Jim, but other members like Roofer and T have posted valuable insights here as well.

"You cannot survive without that intangible quality we call heart. The mark of a top player is not how much he wins when he is winning but how he handles his losses.
If you win for thirty days in a row, that makes no difference if on the thirty-first you have a bad night, go crazy, and throw it all away."

"But, understand, trying to play 'W2's' is a fools game 99.99% of the time (not an actual stat, this is a figurative statement) unless the high is a clear PTA unto itself. Can we say, unequivocally, that the recent high was the top??? Then I'm not expecting the 'W2' area to do much."

It's been awhile since anyone posted in the section, so here's one from our very own sirios:
"I'm starting week with my thought about learning of trading.
I found that it is impossible to get all knowledge contained in Jim's books when I read it few times. I have to get a lot of practice, face the problems in all area (eg. context, trade management, ML) and start looking for solutions in Jim's books by reading it again. And that's what I think: all solutions are there. I just have to implement it into my behavior and trading plan.
This a lot of material and it is sometimes very difficult mentally (like trading against trend on trading timeframe) that's why process of learning must be repeated many times until aim will be achieved.
I can't imagine how Jim could learn trading without his books It must be incredibility more difficult and long process then we are faced with."

I know this topic was intended for great trading quotes, either from in here, or elsewhere. Nonetheless, I got a great response from one of our members, a real 'feel good' for me, and I thought I'd post it. We were discussing a matter not related to the books or mentoring or anything KT related. After our back and forth, he sent me this:
"Thank you for helping, I appreciate it very much. You have a genuine desire to help, teach people and you do so...acting as a human being from the heart. It's always a pleasure to interact with you."
In the long run, whether it turns out that I feel satisfied with what I've done with this project or not, whether I'm happy with my 'legacy' or not, I'll always have this.

Remember, if a PTA fails to hold, it can be the site of a significant move (which is why I have heavily incorporated tradind failed patterns/groupings into my Trading Plan).
