I spent more than a year studying the books, making the notes and creating my trading plan. I'm still a beginner and have much to learn but I decided to post some of my setups. I hope it will help me to increase my level of experience. Feel free to comment those setups - I'll appreciate any useful advice.

Setup #001: EUR/USD, 2D, Standard ABCD

I entered the trade on the bar pointed by the arrow. Right now I'm taking some heat right now but my stop loss put above the 2nd grouping hasn't been hit yet. I decided to stay and see how this trade will turn out.

My order for Setup #001 has been closed with a stop loss. I will reenter the market when I get the reaction off the 3rd grouping and an entry trigger with a greater degree of confirmation (swing-low take out on a lower timeframe).

Here is how I like to trade ABCDs. I want to trade them in the direction of the impulses, so the corrective ABCD has to form within prior corrective move sizes. See if the attached makes sense.

Thanks for your comments. I think I will be more careful with trading ABCD patterns that look outsized in comparison with previous corrections of the trend.

IMHO, your Point C would have been a good BUY point. A smaller ABCD from Point B to Point C.

Nice post.

Good Trading,

There's a nice ABCD pattern I noticed on GBP/USD. Yesterday I entered the trade. My working TF is 480M.

Working timeframe

What I like about this trade:

* High degree of harmonicity
* PTA between 0.236-0.300 of entire move
* Setup bounces off a 50-day EMA on a context TF
* Setup is supported by adjusted ML set
* Pattern ML sets (standard and MS) hit the same area

What I don't like about it:

* AB wave contains something that may be considered a corrective structure

Context TF (D):

Entry TF (120M):

By the way - have you got any suggestions for the best exit trigger in this case. What I'd like to achieve is playing the single wave after an ABCD correction on the working timeframe. At this moment I'm looking at 0.786 SL trigger on the entry (120M) timeframe and 20-EMA but I think that I could pay too much in case when my traded move reverses.

Hey guys,

Just been really busy with life :)
Not much time for trading at all. Haven't been following the markets much.Seems like the only way is up, heh heh.
I hope/believe you guys are as successful as can be in what you do and most importantly that it's still fun :)
