In the final hours or even minutes of 2010 trading the bulls proved one more time who was really in power last year:

Okay, the market is as it should be, as it must be. Up +8.00 (some of that value has to do with month end settlement, it's not up quite that much from the closing price), and at new highs for the entire 'bulls#%&' market. Very exciting stuff, and exactly as I expected.

I wonder... The old maxim, as the first few days of January goes, so goes the month, and as the month goes, so goes the year. If so, we may see that new all-time S&P high and 1,600 this year after all. Heck, the Midcaps are only ten points away already. And, as per the methodology, this is all launching off an ABCD and line at a .300/382 overlap...

1261 is at the 1.272 off the ABCD and upper line area. Now we see what they plan to do.

Nice W3 of the move off the bullish ABCD above. I won't even try to call where it may end:

Well, Byron Wien was quoted on TV a little while ago, saying he sees 1,600 no problem this year. I really don't think I've seen this much positive sentiment since right before the dot.bomb burst. And the analysts are saying the economy is really starting to pick up, serious gangbuster style. Fed officials, politicians, and economists are all saying this. Hence, it must be true and I believe it. So, the market should be a lot higher to price this recovery in.

At least, in my opinion, this madness is highly tradable.

Gold has clear problems with overcoming the .886 of the last ABCD to the tick:
