Okay, I guess jarek must still be skiing, so I'll start this week's topic. Let's make it another monster week for quality posts.

I knew they'd do something with it. They chose up, off those lows. It seemed so unlikely they'd break it down. Now only 2.50 points from the HOD. I'm guessing we'll see a new high for the entire move off this flat/4PT hybrid in the GLOBEX session.

Understand, I am short side bias here, waiting for a possible flush. But I don't see it. In 'the old days' all those stops would be irresistable. But nowadays, the bias is so strongly 'up' that they don't really care about downside stops like they used to. My two cents.

They want to take this up. I'm not sure if they can, but you can just feel how much they want to...

Hmmm, I'm thinking what I sensed in INTC, at that low, may play into what is now happening. Pull up a chart of NSM, with aftermarket data. Closed around 14. Now showing 24, where they froze it. 25 takeover bid by TNX, an 80% premium. Not bad. Glad I wasn't short NSM. SMH went from 33.80 to 35.15 in the aftermarket. INTC got a little pop. This should juice the semi's, as the speculation runs rampant on who is next. Can't see this putting downward pressure on them. We'll see. In this market, you never can be sure.

If the market now starts its up run from here, and if the semi's follow, I'm looking at two main SMH areas, one in the upper 37's, and one around 39 half. Understand, this is based on 'average' time factors, and if they explode things, then the lines will be hit earlier. I also have another area way up in the low 42's, if this thing really takes off. But, until I see the rate of ascent, I can't pinpoint the levels any better just yet. Assuming this thing is even going up at all... Point is, if it does go up, that's where I'm watching.

So, one of my favorites for a longer-term swing play, mentioned many times in here, DBC, is 'still going', as the Energizer rabbit commercial says. Talk about a buy the dip issue, wow.

SLW is still 'active', and I'll revisit that one when there is something to say on it. So far, it's not surprising me at all with its actions, nor is it deviating from what I most expected. What it does from here is the key. More to come.

I thought I would look at the chart to see when nsm has traded around the bid price....not since october 15, 2007.....is someone smoking something funny at txn, or were they asleep for the past two years when they could have paid less? amazing...
