Watch this 3D (look on a 5-min or 15-min) into a key area here. 94.50 is the most symmetrical area for this, but anywhere from here to even a 'spike though' to 97.50 could happen. I'm not saying I'm even a tiny bit bearish going into the last hour on a Friday that is up so much off the morning low, but you never know. If they were going to dump this hard, it is 'in the area' for that. Beware.

The really curious thing here is this is acting like it is about to dump hard. I can't recall ever seeing something 'tell' me it is about to dump more than this. That has me 'curious' why it is signalling like this. Are they trying to game me?

Jim, I'm still studing trade management and I'm trying to assess were is initial thrust area in most of issues cases. Is this 0.381 of ABCD or 0.447 of ABCD ?

It isn't as simple as that. I currently use up to six things to hunt up the first thrust area. Mostly, as mentioned in the book, I look at what the first thrusts for that issue have been in the past. Each issue has its own preferences and peculiarities. If you study that issue and see what it typically does, and then do all the linework and other methodology techniques, if the area you find from past moves lines up with the work looking for areas, then I feel I have a good spot. Then it depends on the issue moving right to that spot and pulling back in. If it doesn't do that, then I can't apply the first thrust technique of moving the stop up. I also noticed that standard ABCDs ('zig-zags') tend to have different first thrusts than the rest of the ABCDs. So, I may factor that into the mix, too.

And the ES thrusts up into the after-cash close, to... drum roll... you guessed it... 94.50! Sometimes I amaze even myself. No bragging here, just amazement.
So, we got the strong close on a Friday afternoon after a big up run from the same morning low (again!), the 'make it look weak' was, in my opinion, an attempt to sucker in some suckers (it didn't work), and this is now primed to get back to the usual gap open or just gun it up Sunday night GLOBEX/Monday sequence. Back to the same old, same old. I can't wait to see if that's the way this is going again, or if it weakens, indicating the bulls are struggling for the first time in just about forever. Such excitement! 'They' are such idiots...

Thank you for explanation. But is this generally somewhere between 0.381 and 0.447 or often lower and higher ?
What are you doing if issue is not going directly to the spot ? Are you waiting until issue goes higher than 'normal' spot ?

The first thrust of a lower degree is generally less, and of the same degree is generally more. If I don't get a reaction there I just do as much work as I can based on what it does do, and try to make a good technical decision for stop movement based on what I think it should be doing, and what moves would not be 'usual' for the type of move I feel it is undergoing (if that makes sense). So, I try to stay in for 'normal' moves, and get taken out for 'abnormal' moves.

First thrust lower degree is used for entry trigger "cool trick" ? Or first trust is after entry with "cool trick" .

Are you doing scaling exits in "nether region" if it is not going as you expected ?

The lower degree first thrust could be used for entry trigger. There are some conditions and such I look for, so it isn't always just that simple, but generally that is a swing point I'd be looking at.
