But, let me just beat this dead horse a little more, this is a key area and pattern, and asteroids once in a great while do hit houses, so I'm 'ready'.

Nope, all they could do was hit the high, and the sellers came back in. Very interesting. Twenty minutes left for the cash market, then multiple big earnings announcements. Very interesting.

Of course, as this comes back to 'support' and forms a little bullish flat here, they come back for it. I think they are just burning time until the earnings reports give them the excuse they need.

And I'm thinking the real game is that that will be the way it is until it suddenly isn't. And that point it will be a complete surprise because it seems so impossible. I am struck by how at certain points lately the bull and bear case seem almost equal on say the 30 minute charts and then the next leg starts.

Interesting geometry now would be the .768 at Monday's low setting up 1.27 new high in a day or two.

Let me toss a caveat out there. I am still watching for this to exhaust itself, in case, but that's 'old school' thinking. Old-fashioned, stone age thinking from a balanced market perspective. This doesn't have to exhaust because it is manipulation. There are no 'people' or 'funds' that run out of money and then want to 'take profits'. In my opinion there is little to none of that in this buying. So, it doesn't 'exhaust'.

I have rarely seen any day like this not close at a new high for the day, and then gap up a little in the aftermarket and run a bit more. It's like 99.99% of the time, in my experience. Nonetheless, I stay wary, as a throwback to the old days, of sellers coming in i.e. being ready to protect potential open profits. But, and everyone knows Jim is a big worrier, one of the biggest, I am about as worried about sellers right now as I am that an asteroid will hit my house and kill me in the next hour.
