So, will this gap up and then start the run to that say 1425 area from my scenario last week? The time factor I was looking at said by Sunday night or Monday, but you all know I don't weigh the time factors that I do very heavily. Add in the sideways action for a few days and it has either coiled for a fast pop, or the time factor won't come into play at all. As I concluded last week, I thought the odds were perhaps 75/25 that this will head up to that next level, as opposed to this being a topping formation. We shall see soon enough. I'll post the early indications from the spot FX market when they become available.

This sure is acting, to me, like we are about to see the big upside explosion I have been talking about. But, I am at the point where a few things are clear to me. The first is my trading maxim 'I never try to guess my way out of a range'. This has been in an upsloping range for going on two weeks now. Next, I am resigning myself right now to the fact that I will not catch the next big move, up or down. Not going to happen.

Why? I am not even going to be trying to catch it. I am not going to try to guess my way out of this range. I will concentrate on intraday 'scalp trades' for now. No, they aren't real scalps, I mean that in the sense of being very small, non-trending (in the bigger picture) moves (like what Al showed in his chart today). Then when it explodes on some silly news event, I'll be out, and I'm 100% fine with that.

I accept that now, so when it comes, it will be exactly as I have planned. Then I can try to get back to work on some trending trades. And read the blogs where every last person shows exactly how they nailed it to the tick, entry and exit. Just my two cents.

It just took a run at the RTH HOD. After that, the high for the move is next. And then it's just a few points from a new 'bull' market high.

Just like that old song from the TV show 'The Jeffersons': 'Yeah, we're movin' on up...' It just never ends. And, I suspect, until the final collapse, it never will.

And there's the contract high for ES U2 and the new 'bull' market high, exactly as expected and discussed at length in here. Now, will they just probe for stops and then down it goes (I estimate this at 0.00000001% chance), or begin the upside explosion? We shall, indeed, see...
