So, will this gap up and then start the run to that say 1425 area from my scenario last week? The time factor I was looking at said by Sunday night or Monday, but you all know I don't weigh the time factors that I do very heavily. Add in the sideways action for a few days and it has either coiled for a fast pop, or the time factor won't come into play at all. As I concluded last week, I thought the odds were perhaps 75/25 that this will head up to that next level, as opposed to this being a topping formation. We shall see soon enough. I'll post the early indications from the spot FX market when they become available.

Let me toss a joke out there. I'm saying right away this is a joke so that no one can think I'm serious.
So, now it can go down, since it has set the new 'bull' market high, right? I can load up on some puts? End of joke.
I seriously think it is possible that this will not go down, ever again, until it collapses. I'll leave the possibility that things may change after the election, or if some reason comes up that has them wanting some temporary downside, but it is quite clear what is going on. As 'retail' keeps pulling money out week after week after week, the market keeps rising.
Retail needs the money to live on and no longer believes in the market, the volume is so low it's not even fathomable, and that makes it even easier to make it rise (remember that 'quote stuffing' can actually make a market rise with no trades taking place!) Anyways, I seriously think it is possible we will not see any more downside until we 'see zero'. Just my humble opinion.

Tiny little checkback, right back to the high, and then the new high likely coming shortly. This isn't a 'ride until close', this is a 'ride until forever' as far as I'm concerned.

Hmmmm, 'retested' the HOD to the tick and started to drop. I'm not going to do it. I'm not. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. I simply am not going to get myself excited that this could start to sell off. It can't happen. It won't. They'll try to suck me in, then another new high will promptly come. This will never, ever go down again. I just know it won't...

The thing about trading, the thing roofer has made so clear all this time, the thing about 'getting' me, is it's all about understanding this is all just a game. A game that we play. It's nothing more. It's about understanding how the game is played.
If you don't want to listen all the way through to this cool song, skip it to 2:11 for this part:
'Hear the echoes and feel yourself starting to turn
Don't know why you should feel
That there's something to learn
It's just a game that you play'
BTW, when I quoted the above passage, I'm not saying, as traders, we have nothing to learn. That would be an out of context view of what he was saying above. What I mean when I quote this, as applied to us as traders, is that when it comes down to the plan, the play, we aren't about learning new things there at that moment, about figuring things out (all that comes before the opportunity), we are about playing the game at that point. That's it. 'Execution robot' from the books. Play the game.
My favorite lines from Bruce Lee (without whose philosophy I doubt I could have achieved even 10% of the skill I have now):
"When my opponent expands, I contract,
When he contracts, I expand,
And when there is an opportunity, I don't hit,
It (he holds up a tight fist) hits all by itself..."
No thought, no learning, just an 'execution robot' playing the game.

And for those of you that just love when I wax philosophic (I know of at least one...), look at the next lines and imagine how I think of those with regard to the market.
'Well the picture is changing
Now you're part of a crowd...'
Recall what I said about that famous old-time trader who said our job is to get on board a crowded train that is headed for a cliff. The difference between us and the suckers is, we plan to jump off right before the train goes over. Think about the above lines, and this paraphrased quote here, and what I am getting at. See it? From Searching for Bobby Fischer: 'Don't move until you see it...'

I have another little concept to post, but it will have to wait until later because (all you die-hard Bruce Lee fans will understand this, and if you aren't a die-hard Bruce Lee fan, all I can say is 'Why not?') 'This is Lao's time'.

I have just enough time to sneak this in. I wanted to strike while the iron is hot.
From Bruce Lee:
"Don't think, feel. It is like a finger pointing away to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger, or you will miss all that heavenly glory."
Now one of those lines:
'Hear the echoes and feel yourself starting to turn...'
Get it? Listen to the echoes of the market, of the price action, of the 'context', and feel for the reaction you need. "It hits all by itself..."
I never post frivolously. Everything has a point.
