Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLI)
The XLI is the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (an ETF). It trades on the NYSE under the ticker symbol XLI.
The Index includes companies from the following industries:
- Aerospace & defense
- Industrial conglomerates
- Machinery
- Road & rail
- Air freight & logistics
- Commercial & professional services
- Electrical equipment
- Construction & engineering
- Trading companies & distributors airlines
- Building products
Criteria
- Each of the component securities in the Index is a constituent company of the S&P 500 Index.
- Each stock in the S&P 500 Index is allocated to one and only one of the Select Sector Indexes.
- The Index is calculated by the New York Stock Exchange’s Index Services Group using a modified “market capitalization” methodology.
As of December 31, 2009, the Index was comprised of 60 stocks.
