Joe; Dan Gramza is with the CME and gives his take on the NQ today.
Just letting you know
for those of you that have received the square 9 excel - i would like to encourage you to use it in combo with rich's ttt

you will be amazed how well the markets respect the sq numbers that match up with his levels or that are close to his levels

good luck and good trading
Hi Joe / Gio,

How do I calculate sq of nines for other markets? Like the NQ,ZB,ZS, etc?

Can you tell me the calculations to do to get these numbers?

TIA.
All the numbers are the same for all markets. That is 1191 works for the ES and NQ and will work forever. For the bonds it would be 119.10 or 119 3/32. The formula is take any sq of nine number (it starts with one) but we will use 1191 in this ex. Take 1191 its square root = 34.51087 then add .25 (one 8th rotation around the cube, 2 is complete) which equals 34.76087 times that by itself and you get 1208.31 and round it to the nearest whole number 1208. There is another awesome way of doing it I'll show you in this chart......

Cool. So you do this with daily/weekly/monthly lows? You calculate new numbers every day? I think I am starting to understand the concept.
I wanted to show another NQ chart with using sq of nine but in super scalp mode 55 tick chart this is what I use to time all my trades (144 T with the ES, but the same principle applies) You can trade more cons with limited risk. once we have our desired short entry ie sq of nine 1196.25 off the low.

Newkid,

Sq of nine goes deep I use it on days bars highs/lows and a deadly(!!!!) dated square of nine that gives S/R lines every day and changes as the calender rolls on by. The way I just showed you is no good after it touches it 2 times. But 1191 is good forever but isn't good if its been going through it all day all week long.
Understood. So where do I get the numbers that are "good forever"?

Is that what you usually post here?
I haven't traded bonds yet, I started using Sierra charts Aug 1st & it has a sq of 9 study, I remembered this thread & put the sq of 9 study on GC & ZB just to see, the #s are like magnets! The settings that seem to work best are 22.5 degrees & 45 degrees in that order.
