Let's see if this works....never tried to start a new topic...
having bounced off the .886 friday, will it aim into the area of interest up at the .886 of last week's high, or into the box at 1.128 - 1.27, and what will it do up there?
There is some symmetry in that both blue arrows are at .886....ultimately you might expect a move that mirrors the mid march - may move, but without a significant pullback into an abcd, which we haven't seen yet?

Joed says he took his blog down. So it is not a temp google glitch (like I was hoping). Joed did not give a reason.

Hmmmm, no notice, no explanation, no archive of all that work, that's really too bad. And just when it looked like he might do some mentoring... I guess having my website up for going on eight straight years now, all that material for reference, that seems pretty good, looking back on it now.

Jim,
I agree. Your educational materials and teachings are like a "beacon in the night" for traders of all levels. KaneTrading is the greatest!

Have you considered indexing your site so it is easily searchable?
One free product I've used in the past is:
http://lucene.apache.org/
It worked well. I'm sure there's other options out there too.

Jim,
I'm doing my weekly review of your comments with the chart action. I am not sure which abcd you were talking about in your comment here.
I have marked up a 5 minute chart of the ES for 7/13/2011. The purple arrow marks the bar at the time of your comment.
Does your comment refer to the abcd marked in yellow? Would you consider the white marked to be an abcd?

So, this HOD here at 27.75 is in a key, key area. And it pulls back, but right into a bullish ABCD. Now we'll see. What a launchpad for a move up and over this key area. I'd like to say the most likely scenario after a big move is to trade the rest of the day in the upper range area (how many times, up or down, have we seen this?), but I think today it is likely to run further, maybe much further. We'll see. I'm not into fighting this. Look at gold, the Swissie, the Euro, crude, the grains. Unreal. I'd love to see this sell off from here, but I am wary...

tx, yes, I was referring to the ABCD marked in yellow. The white one, although in spirit it could be an ABCD, I likely wouldn't call it one. First, in an EXP ABCD I really prefer they don't exceed 1.272 on that AB external retracement (the C point). Second, I don't like how sideways and corrective the AB leg looks. AB legs 'should' be impulsive. It is not a mandatory requirement for me, but it's not the best case scenario here. Combine that with the 1.460 ext ret for the C point, and I just don't like it. It has too much of a W3-W4-W5 followed by an unstructured pullback look to it.
