Wow, that was a sweet little 1-min bar stop run breakdown there. I love it. Maybe that's all the downside it has, though. You know the games they like to play before they do a Sunday night GLOBEX/Monday run up. But, one of these times we'll get some real downside... It's sure all set up for some right now, as discussed previously. I'm patiently (Hah!) waiting for it...

I'm thinking there won't be. Here they come for one more shot at those new highs. Then a big gap up Sunday night and another 20-30? Sounds right.

There's the new high for the entire move. 'Too easy.' Like there was any chance at all this would sell, or not finish at a new high for the move. Gimme a break.

Recall in the 'old days', when the market was balanced with participants, not many would want to hold over the weekend, especially if there was geopolitical risk, or some other risk. Look at the risks right now. Yet essentially 100% of the participants want to hold 100% of what they bought over the weekend, and they want to buy more in a frenzy as it closes.

What does that say? It says to me 100% manipulation, and a 100% government guarantee that nothing that happens over the weekend, no matter how heinous, will be met with anything except rampant government support and buying. The risk to a weekend hold is zero. Just how messed up is all this? More messed up than any words we have.

Now, what I want is for this to drop on Sunday night, and then resume the relentless uptrend that seems so inevitable. At least give us something to work with. A gap and go would be hard to do much with. Maybe they'll manipulate it down a little for better prices from the suckers, and then restart the manipulation up (I just mean down a bit Sunday night, then up into Monday AM). That's the 'best case' scenario for me, I think, from a trading standpoint. Just some thoughts.

Hit the 1.272... And it may not be done yet.

Nice drop off 42. Too bad it's likely just a closing anomaly, and not a sign of something. Too bad...

The impression I am trying to leave, and I hope everyone gets, is that I like balanced markets. That doesn't mean they can't have big moves (either way), blowoffs, and so on, just give me balance over time. I hate one-sided markets. I'm not saying I don't like trending markets, I love trending markets, I live for trending markets, but I like healthy trends, balanced trends. We have manipulated, unbalanced markets.

I still think they are highly tradeable, but one must sit a lot of the time while it churns, and deal with all the mini shock-event news items with higher timeframe plays. There can be a lot of 'dead time' for daytrading when the action happens mostly during the European sessions.

I think it also pays to look at other markets when doing 'intraday swing trading' (daytrading to most). Gold, the currencies, and crude were anything but dead today.
