Jim has allowed me to post some charts in a separate thread, so I will post here in Al's Charts 2. I am amazed at how the Kane Trading methodology permeates price action. I like moving averages, too.

Any comment welcome.

Good Trading to all.

Entry TF = 1 min., Traded TF = 5 min., Context TF=15 min. I worked mostly from entry timeframe. Noticed Triangle Pattern forming, drew ML sets, Kane DT formed, price rose from 0.886 and 1.618 confluence, met resistance at Kane Zone/20 and 50 SMA/ML Upper // confluence area. Price reversed, dropped, I entered SELL simulated trade market order for 50 sh SPY, got flummoxed, did not enter a stop, did not exit when I wanted, "computer problems." Made $6.50 simulated bucks, -$2 commission.

Doh. My last two trades have been against the trend, as shown by the higher "Context" timeframe charts. Note to self: Al, start trading with the trend, as it appears on the higher "Context" timeframe charts.

I just finished rereading "Kane Trading on Multiple Timeframes and Context." That is a super book. I learn new things each time I read a Kane Trading book.
Context Timeframe, 15 minute GLOBEX
Traded Timeframe, 5 min GLOBEX
Entry Timeframe, 1 min GLOBEX

Gap open on the 5 min ES RTH today. Price made it up to 0.886/1.05/Trendline/1.460/1.272 fibo "Spike line up" confluence after open. PRICE reversed and started to drop. Price congested (ES 1 min) at Kane Zone/50 SMA, retraced from above, and Kane Zone Retrace from below, (first penetration of 50 SMA after open. Price dropped after 8EMA/50 SMA crossover, I entered SELL 100 sh SPY simulated shares, then fumbled with my IB TWS workstation trying to set a STOP, and finally exited with $6.00 profit. Kane Zone is da BOSS!

Should read:

....Trendline/1.620/1.460 fibo...

Gap open on 5 min. Awesome Kane TD ABCD at opening on GLOBEX. Gap Fill??
Timeframes: (GLOBEX and RTH)

Context Timeframe: 15 minute
Traded Timeframe: 5 min.
Entry Timeframe: 1 min.
Entry: Went with the Kane ABCD.
Exit: 1.902 fibo retrace of Kane TD CD ABCD leg, confluence of 1.272/o.886/Gap on 5 min/Line (roofer calls this "Truth and Beauty and Simplicity in the Markets," or something like that), (Gap Fill too??)
I got lucky on my exit and made $12 SPY simulation bucks.

Thank you roofer, and thank you Jim, and all the other Kane Traders out there.

Gap open on 5 min.(RTH), 3D on GLOBEX, 0.886 fibo/Lines/200 SMA Area (RTH)
Timeframes: (GLOBEX and RTH)

Context Timeframe: 15 minute
Traded Timeframe: 5 min.
Entry Timeframe: 1 min.

Entry: Faked out. Went Long. Doh! Exited, went short. No targets yet. I am liking the Kane Zone and the 50 SMA at the open.

The fourth chart here, with the ML Sets, is my attempt to use the tools to locate that Globex target point that Jim told us about.

Again, I would like to thank you all for your help here!
Thank you roofer, and thank you Jim, and all the other Kane Traders out there for all your help. As far as I am concerned, gratitude is good. I can see the tools that I learned here are working better for me, in my hands. Still baby steps for me, but I am enjoying it. Cleared 3 simulated dollars in SPY today.

All the Best,

Al Kamego

Context Timeframe: 15 minute
Traded Timeframe: 5 min.
Entry Timeframe: 1 min.

Entered SHORT close to OPEN. Exited with a BUY near ML Lower // area. Cleared $13 paper trading 100 sh SPY. Wow! What an ML Set based on Kane TD Points B, C, and D! I did not have the presence of mind to see that Kane "Type 1" ML test of the ML Lower//. I missed some great trading.

Hi Marcin,

OK. Thanks for the invite. My trading lately is pretty indicator-intensive, though. Kane trading still rules, however, I like to work with moving averages a lot.

Good Trading,

Al
