I'll start the open topic for this week. I hope the week is as 'good' as last week.
BTW, I'm getting that vibe again, roofer's getting close... If I only wouldn't keep saying something I bet he'd be back by now...

All of the sudden they just crushed YHOO back down, gave back all of that big pop up. I'm loving it. Just loving it. I love when stocks go down.

And, of course, YHOO is now rocketing up strong. These guys are just nuts. Pure idiots.

A must read. Same thing I've been saying for about five years. Note: it's not trading related, it's economy related. And yes, I know this is the trading thread, yes, I know I have an economic section, and no, I don't want to post it where it belongs.

Good, good stuff. Shows what the bad guys are thinking, and wanting.

This is too funny. A must watch. I would have done a lot more with it, but it's a start.

ES just grinding it's way up to let me just call it 1504-6 to make it easy. In there. Then we see.

The ES needs like at least a 60 point drop really, really bad (well, we all know I think it needs an 1,100+ point drop really, really bad, but that's another story...).

Point being, just because I am watching for 1504-6 doesn't mean I don't think it could peel off 60 out of the blue in a heartbeat. It's way, way overdue, it's just grinding up, and although you never know, it could break hard to the upside at any time, it may also just give it up and drop like a rock tossed off a tall bridge. And I'm ready for that, on red alert. That's what I am trying to say.

Just killing a little time here before the European open. I'm fading fast here, so I doubt I'll last long, but I want to see if they sell it here or not, so I'm toughing it out.
Anyway, let me tell about a story that I heard was on Bloomberg today. Coke is going to be cutting the size of their cans of coke down. You know, the old story that we've been seeing everywhere, cut the size and keep the price the same. It's a way to fool dumba#% 'Amerikans' that there is no inflation. So, I've seen 16oz items drop to 14oz, and 12 oz drop to 11.5oz or 11 oz. Well, since one serving of Coke is 8oz, and that was the traditional size of the Coke bottle, they are going to 8oz!
Now, think about this. If the price stays the same (that's my understanding) that's a 50% price hike in one shot. Say a 12 oz can is $1 (it doesn't matter the initial price, I chose a buck because it makes the math easy), and now for that $1 you get 8oz. To get 12oz you need a can and a half. How much does that cost? $1.50 for the same 12oz. A 50% price increase in one shot. In an environment where the gooberment and the Fed say inflation is running a percent and change. Uh-huh.
I am seeing prices jumping up daily on all my essentials. Big jumps, not small ones. This is just one more example. And none of that money they have printed is in circulation yet. When it hits the inflation would be astronomical. But, that money may never hit circulation because it was never intended to hit circulation, even though that's what they say it was printed for, 'to loan out to consumers, to Joe Public middle class'. Uh-huh.
Why is it that we will all wait until high inflation (say 100%-200% per year) or hyperinflation (20,000% per month, or day) hits before we say we need to change the course of this ship? Why isn't what's coming the only thing every person you talk to every day speaks about? I pretty much don't hear anything from anyone. Start talking to everyone you know until you can't stand it any more, and then talk some more... Or accept the consequences when they come and just suck it up.
