I'll start the open topic for this week. I hope the week is as 'good' as last week.

BTW, I'm getting that vibe again, roofer's getting close... If I only wouldn't keep saying something I bet he'd be back by now...

And none of the above even takes into account the environmental impact of this. Lots more raw material for cans (smaller sizes take more material per ounce), more energy, more water (all raw material production uses lots and lots of water), more waste, more crate packing material, and so on. No one cares. You want to talk about how little anyone cares, read this:

Oh, yeah, I also forgot, the reason they gave is that they want to help consumers to not overdo it with their product, to help them consume a more reasonable amount. Yeah, right, when have you ever seen a company, no less a big multi-national, try to get consumers to use less of their product. I'd like to say how stupid do they think we are, but the answer is, almost everyone is apparently that stupid, or they wouldn't be doing it. And that's scary.

ES pops on the European open, as expected, but now we see if it can sustain.

Okay, the ES is not really doing much, so I'm going to bed.

One more thing about the Coke story. I'm not so sure what is happening there. I went to Bloomberg, and it's not that clear. I think they will be pushing the 8oz, but not necessarily as an immediate replacement for the 12oz. So I suspect they will phase it in, but how they will do that as far as price, it isn't clear to me. And then what about all the larger sizes. So, what is going on is far from clear. All I know is they will do whatever they need to do to keep those profits rolling in and pass on as much inflation to us as they can.

not at all

I like having you here all on one thread, and while your take on things may amount to one man's view, I don't see it as ot...

Watch this 1503 here... The conundrum is, it may want that 1504-6 area, but if it breaks above 03 by more than a tiny amount, it implies (by other work I have) it may trend up for the rest of the day.

As an aside, what happened to YHOO's nice big after hours pop?

I'm very cautious around this 1503.25 high... They likely will be able to trend it all day, perhaps in a spectacular run into the close, but in case...
