No problem, Marcin, just 'keepin' it real', as they used to say a few years back.

well... since roofer was a topic,,, while he was in the garden his TLT trade was stopped out at break even and he made or lost nothing for the day in terms of money.... but the sun was shining and a cool north wind was blowing and the dahlias were blooming and a neighbor walking by walked up to roofer and thanked him for creating such a beautiful corner of the world that inspires her every day and then in the gathering dusk another neighbor stopped by and handed roofer a kind note thanking him for the plants that he had shared and then just as i called it a day the hummingbird that always flies up to me hovered 3 feet in front of my face for what seemed like a minute...so somehow the day had value.

a note on how i trade and why i trade
one of my favorite quotes is
''we do what is necessary while keeping an eye on what is essential''
it is necessary that we support ourselves... i do it by trading... but i no longer think of myself as a trader and never even mention it to anyone anymore.
how i trade is driven by wanting to spend the least amount of time as possible watching a computer screen... so i use the geometry to think things through and try to find trades that offer at least 5 to 1 the small amount i am willing to risk on each trade... what happens over time in the real world is this.. a cycle of a series of small losses and scratches followed by a string of good trades.... so in the recently posted TLT work there were 2 entries triggered by the 886 algo that we all know that went to the target lines followed by the scratch yesterday.
the ''essential'', the essence of us all that makes us human is something i seem to find away from trading...at one time in my life i thought i might find it in trading and i certainly enjoyed the banter and laughter of the trading room but now that the room is closed i find sitting alone at home watching a bank of screens detrimental to my health.. so i trade in a way that requires the least amount of time sitting..that is not to say that trading can not be someone else's essential being... it is just not mine...

amazing thoughts roofer, and i am deeply grateful that you shared them here. both posts. they address things that are very important to me....the questions of who are we...what is the essence of our lives and how we define ourselves...what do we want from life...what are we able and willing to bring to the world....and can we accept all of it and be as healthy and as happy as we can be....

Thanks roofer. Out of necessity, I need to get where you are at :) I have a small farm out here in the country and would much rather be out there working in the field than in here on the computer watching each tick. Alot of my small scratch trades do indeed eat up my better trades. But thanks God I have been short es for two days :)

Thanks Jim and thank you for the offer. Please leave my latest posting in the main discussion threat, where it is. The chart seemed worthy of comment at the time I looked at it, but now, not so much. It probably points out that I need to follow price action on the 15 minute and higher timeframes more, in order to see more, as you have pointed out in your books. As usual, the Kane ABCD covered the price action beautifully.
