I'll kick it off this week. Here's a good article. We'll look back and laugh some day at all this. In case some of you don't get the reference (I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but if you are a trader and don't know this reference, you should be ashamed of yourself (as my mom used to say when I was a kid)), I posted a second link. Read the start of the third paragraph.

$spx 30 - this is how I see it: three push set up at the August lows set up a move to the upper line area in the 2003 - 2015 range......at 2011.17 there is the 3rd higher high to tag the line and I am looking for a break out of that line or a retest of the blue set at fib range .786 - .886 in red box.....the stop is obvious and fairly tight, the initial target is the blue median line

I miss it too, Jim. Despite being on holiday with no access to charts I couldn't resist to check what is going on in the forum. I will have a lot to digest when I come back I guess.

This is a tempting short here, but the immediate trend is too strong, and the time of day isn't very good, so I'm not touching it. But, it does look tempting. Most likely just a sucker trap anyway.

And to be clear, this was a long off that LOD and is in management mode anyway, with scaling starting.

Anyway, this little pullback here is into two TL's and the backtest of the broken downsloping TL, all hitting right here. Now we see what their intentions are.

And up it explodes. That was expected. Now let's see if that's the hook, or if it is going to sustain.

The fascinating thins is, they swept it down, then up, then hit it down, the same exact pattern they have been doing, where the first move is the direction, then the trap the other way, to get both sides, then the real move. I had the timing, and I had the pattern. I didn't have the 'context', in that, like rat, I was thinking up was more likely. But, there is redemption in here, in that as soon as I saw the sweep on the other side fade I was able to recognize the game, as I've highlighted so many times in here lately, and realize what was likely unfolding.
