Here's the 4-Point I was discussing in Jim's Thoughts, with my key set. The key set line was the main factor for me. On the S&P cash it hit the line and 'tested' it three times pretty much dead on. No matter how you label this ABCD, it was an ABCD to me at a key line, with 'context'.

ES H9 60-min 021009

Now we sit at a key line, with TICK hitting an extreme, 1-min volume short-term climactic, and so on. It would be something to see if they can't bounce this up here. What a play so far, though, eh?!

Also, as a curiosity, the 1.618 hits near that lower //, just about at Laundry's low move for this leg. Very interesting.

This chop is just heinous. This is what happens when there is not a net player in the market, the antithesis of the trend trader.

Okay, finally gave me something. Now let's see if it was the result of a net seller, or just a stop run and up it goes.

No net seller, just a stop run and huge pop, exactly as I mentioned, and expected.

Wow, when I said huge pop, I didn't think that huge. They are playing incredible games with this.

Let me contribute my 2cts to the discussion here.
look at this GLD (gold)chart from an intermarket standpoint. The layout of the setups and areas of synergies coming together as the ES also is coming to its areas mentioned in earlier posts, near around 850 or 880.
The implications of these areas hitting at once at same time would be huge, IMO.
The context is set for the overall market to reach a critical decision point,'they' know it's coming(so do I/we) now it's all about timing, I think. If this triggers it would set the stage for some nasty action. Well as long as it moves it's great. One way or another.
Also check out the basing VIX index. It's begging to explode. And the dollar(DX), etc.

Thought I put it out there for posterity, Just in case the ultimate crash happens and we fall back to the stone age and I won't be able to write anything.I Hope not but the way things are going Im not too excited about my future as a citizen of mankind. =[

GLD, ABCD setup at synergy areas. hmmm...intermarket synergy.
There are a lot more things to support the areas but I don't want to clutter the chart too much so i left off my proprietary stuff and various lines but the main layout shows the areas at the red arrows...have fun with it. I hope there's useful educational information here.

I agree, T, with pretty much everything you've said. I commented a little in my weekend commentary on the unlikelihood this is a 'bull market', given all the things it is doing that have never been seen at the start of a bull market before. The intermarket dynamics are indeed pointing to the possibility of something big happening soon.

I also agree 100% with the potential doomsday scenario. There was a time when I thought all that stuff was 'crackpot' nonsense. Then I started to think maybe some of it might be true. Now I tend to think I just see no way that we won't crash back into the stone age. I try and try, but I just can't see how it can be avoided. I even think it may be engineered, not simply something that happened because of greed gone wild. I never, ever believed I would ever think something like that, but I also never thought I would ever see even 10% of what I have seen so far. Sure doesn't make me happy or hopeful for all of our futures, as you say, as 'citizens of mankind' :-(

Great market concepts, T.
