Okay, let's crank up another great week in here. The market action should be awesome again, I suspect.

Can anyone spot where we disconnected from reality?

I think this is more relevant for trading than the economy, so I'm posting it here. Here are a few quips from this article I though were interesting.

"In January of this year, retail investors poured a record $77.4 billion into the stock market. To put this in perspective, the prior record, set in February 2000, was $23.7 billion.

You can probably guess how that turned out. This whoosh of money into stocks happened mere months before the crash."

"Some of you may know that I was a competitive fighter for a number of years. I can personally attest, and any boxer will tell you, that it’s the punch that you don’t see coming which knocks you out."

So, after four years of 'up' retail is finally coming in hard. Sounds about right. To me that implies the end is very, very close.

re interest rates in light of this weeks use of THEIR geometry calling for one more low in rates at marketanthropology... i asked a very simple question.... does the geometry that has been shown here support that thesis.....note that both the 382>447 abcd AND the traders dream are in place..... both having as their minimum target a new high...

Bonds up one more push, market down. Interesting.

I'm watching right in here in the ES (it's an awesome spot), and overhead at say 57.00-58.75. That would form a picture perfect H&S, then it's set up for some nice down. I am also watching around that .886 at say 63.50-64.00, but if it gets that high I think the battle would be on for a new high. There is a sweet line there, but I'm not sure what they'll do that high up.

Keep in mind, though, I look at Portugal, and I'd think the market should be down 500-1,000 right now. What they are doing in tantamount to saying 'We are done. Totally and completely done.' And our futures are up a bit at a key area. No big down, up a little. Same old, same old. In other words, no one with a rational mind is making decisions on market prices right now. Duh. Point is, if the market isn't down on that, that's a very 'bullish' sign. But, who knows. All I can do is pick my spots and see what happens.

I was going to ask you, roofer, if you caught that gold move, and I decided to look back again at your posts, and I see you caught it via the GDX, and the oil move, too. Nice. Wait a minute, I just realized, what's the point of this post? Hmmm, I guess there is none? At least it will up my post count by one.
