Okay, let's crank up another great week in here. The market action should be awesome again, I suspect.

Right, but I am known for letting them run and you for profit targeting, and I'm getting 3 to 1 on the runners, and you are getting up to 50 to 1 on the ones that you grab a chunk. I guess that's why I'm so amazed.

jim- they are... we use the same tools, but essentially we use them differently.... we both look for runners but i have found over thousands of trades that i do better in the specific way i trade if i exit....i/e grabbing chunks of price....

Oh, I feel we've been on the edge of that for some time now. Living on borrowed time, as they say. The whole thing is going to come crashing down, creating a crisis of unparalleled proportion, to the cries of 'We never could have seen this Black Swan coming...'. This is baked into the manipulation cake, there is no escape from it, in my opinion.

It's just a matter of when all the computers do something like the flash crash that feeds on itself, and the whole thing goes. Houses of manipulation cards always go. The greatest saying of all times is 'It's never different this time'. It's the best saying I've ever heard.

This idiotic grand experiment, of which this money printing manipulation is just a way to loot the remaining middle class and keep the game afloat a little longer, will end (soon, historically), in ashes, with the middle class in poverty, and the elite sheltered in protected compounds and island fortresses. Even Jesse Venture on his hoaky show 'Conspiracy Theories' showed one of these fortresses. It was unreal. Sorry, folks, it's as sure as death and taxes in my opinion.

Recall what Jefferson said, and I posted in the quotes section:

"And I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property -- until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered..."

rat made a good point the other day about things that used to work like a clock for those of us who trade both sides being out of whack since late november... AS IF A NEW COMPUTER WAS DRIVING THE MARKET.... zero hedge has pretty much nailed it as to the who and when...i have read everything i could find about the dislocations in 07 in the markets... basically computers with positions in many markets get hit so bad in one market they start liquidating what they can sell which triggers other computers... i think we are on the edge of one of those events where the markets overwhelm the manipulation.... we shall see...

If this gets selling (a rare thing for a Friday afternoon...) I'm watching the GZ, the LOD and then say 70.75-72.50 or so. It's probably done here and will do its miraculous late day lift-a-thon, but I can dream, can't i?

It is acting like that's the end of the drop. If so, we may see a spectacular run into the close. I'd prefer the sell, but betting against Friday afternoons is a tough row to hoe.

Gold down around 67. Is that something, or what? Recall the chart I posted for that, and the two areas I am watching (I sure hope people saved copies for themselves to work it up themselves, and to follow along on that one). Silver sitting right on the area I've wanted it to break forever and cause the flush to 20ish (I'd like to see a 19 handle). Here's the charts, updated from last time.

This is for the economic section, but it follows from what I said in the above post, so I'll post it here. Especially note what the states are doing with debtors prisons. And this is when they market is at all-time new highs and 'they' say things are awesome. Corporate profits at all-time highs. Imagine when the SHTF what will happen... AmeriKa is gone. Or should I say America is gone, welcome to the new AmeriKa.

I'd particularly like to see the Friday close pattern broken because it might indicate something big has changed.

I was going to ask you, roofer, if you caught that gold move, and I decided to look back again at your posts, and I see you caught it via the GDX, and the oil move, too. Nice. Wait a minute, I just realized, what's the point of this post? Hmmm, I guess there is none? At least it will up my post count by one.
