Okay, let's crank up another great week in here. The market action should be awesome again, I suspect.

The sequence is very interesting, but the odds he quoted neither support nor question the fact that this is unprecedented.
Assuming equal probabilities of up and down days (1/2) and independence of each day result, any defined sequence of 14 days closing either higher or lower then opening, in which order matters (e.g. the first 2 days up, and then 12 down), has the same probability of happening, which is (1/2)^14.
Just my 2 cents in case anyone got misled by the numbers... and to be honest, I'm just killing time watching the Euro sideways price action

The question I have, which no one seems to have picked up on, was he said it has been doing it for fifteen days, and the charts shows fifteen alternating bars, So, why isn't it (1/2)^15???

BTW, I posted that link not for any commentary he made, but just so people can look at the chart.

I was going to ask you, roofer, if you caught that gold move, and I decided to look back again at your posts, and I see you caught it via the GDX, and the oil move, too. Nice. Wait a minute, I just realized, what's the point of this post? Hmmm, I guess there is none? At least it will up my post count by one.
