If you all think I sound bitter, your read is dead on. Not that all this long side stuff isn't highly tradeable in my opinion, it's just that I've reached the point where the old roofer hold your nose and get long technique no longer distracts me enough from the stench of the swill. That's all.

I need to change my favorite saying from 'Die, pig, die!' to 'Rise, pig, rise!'

It's all set up for a deal over the weekend and a huge pop up on Sunday night. And even if there is no deal, it will probably pop huge on Sunday anyway. I'd suspect new all-time highs Sunday or early next week. But, based on positioning I wouldn't want to bet on that up here, it's not a very 'safe' play. But if long on a higher timeframe play off of that 40 area, I'd be very comfortable riding that. Let's see, now, if they can do that cash close monster burst. Is it coming?

Interesting article, but I'm mostly posting it as a reference for this one quote.
"Iceland went through a similar deflationary event to that risked in the US today when its banking system collapsed and the currency halved overnight."
Now, wait, during a deflation their currency got cut in half? No, hold up, wait, all I've ever heard is that during a deflation cash is king, it's super rare, and its buying power increases. Yeah, uh-huh, that's what really happens in the real world. My money gets me more stuff. Uh-huh. Deflation and less buying power. Makes sense.
