Here's one of the best (and sickest) lines I have heard in a long time:

I find it humorous that there is any talk about tapering this year. Maybe they do a little taper before year end. I can't see it, but maybe. And there is lots of debate still. But it's all silly, because Old Yeller gets in in Jan, and then she almost immediately goes from $85 billion to say $150 billion. Then we get our Armstrong Dow 32,000, and then we get the complete collapse of society, one that they read about in history books hundreds of years from now (note I said books, not iPads, because we will just then be starting to come back out of the stone age, and I mean that literally).

Just look at these hyper-fluctuating swings here in this narrow little range. I think it's close to an upside pop.

Probe some stops, come back into the range. Too stoo-pid.

And gold came back in, giving back that entire quick pop.

This little push here, it's to a very key level within this zone of mini-levels in here. I'm mostly just following along to see how they finish this, but it's a big battle here that could end at any time. And if they can clear it (that seems very unlikely in the RTH today), it is free to run.

Interesting article, but I'm mostly posting it as a reference for this one quote.

"Iceland went through a similar deflationary event to that risked in the US today when its banking system collapsed and the currency halved overnight."

Now, wait, during a deflation their currency got cut in half? No, hold up, wait, all I've ever heard is that during a deflation cash is king, it's super rare, and its buying power increases. Yeah, uh-huh, that's what really happens in the real world. My money gets me more stuff. Uh-huh. Deflation and less buying power. Makes sense.
