There is not much to add to the extensive coverage of the recent weeks here. While looking for geometry of Friday's turn on the continuous contract basis I came up with the following picture:
We have an almost ideal .382 bullish ABCD here. Thanks to Roofer's findings based on thousands of examples we know that probability of taking out the high equals in such case 87%. What's more in order to hit Jim's target zone at the line, a pretty fast move would be required... We'll see next week if we are on the right track and ... in the right train

This kind of BS is really pathetic. I speak about BruceM of course. I wrote what I think about it. Jim .. you and others are making great job and my advice would be forget other forums. It is not a first time Bruce has some problem with roofer. And like i wrote in that thread he has some strange need to be some kind of an judge thinking that maybe we cannot see stuff for ourselves.
I saw this kind of stuff in other forums which make some interesting people stop writing anything. Like I said pathetic and there is no need you should loose your time answering to him IMO.
Thanks again for the best forum on geometry.

There is a glitch in Qcharts and I can't display EUR RTH chart for today. But from the all sessions picture I may suspect that Roofer's setup is playing out as expected so far:
This is very interesting - a bullish ABCD that may fail in the Game Zone on all sessions chart concurrent with an 0.886 confirmed by test and retest on RTH chart. As they say - all roads lead to Rome

It did, so I switched to the bullish scenario. Looks like they needed a bigger ABCD in order to get over this downsloping TL:
This is the 4th attempt at it and thus according to Gann should be successful

It is true, what roofer says about the other forum, and it is even moderated. What happens is that some of the better traders move on, maybe a couple stay....but in general there is a probably only small handful of traders who have an open mind and are flexible in their thinking so that each external event isn't a personal challenge.
Roofer once asked whether there were 10 traders who would be interested in learning what he had to show....I don't remember the responses, but as far as I know I'm the only one who saw that as a golden opportunity. I continue to look at what he shows and be amazed at how complex and yet how simple it is......if you are lucky enough to have someone generous and articulate enough to show it... And I know that I will never ever see what he sees no matter how long I work at it, but the generosity of the person who teaches what they know and how to use that knowledge is priceless. I have a similar feeling reading Jim's work, and can't imagine anyone taking issue with his body of work, or that he sells his books.
I think that there are basically two types of people in a way - those who believe they already know what they need to know and those who know that they will never know all they want to know. Put simply, one believes they have arrived, and defends their perceptions.....the other is on a quest, and knows it.
As an aside, when I post a chart it isn't because I think I have figured it all out....it is to put it out there in real time so that others have the chance to challenge it and bring my thinking to the next level; so that there is a record of what I was thinking at the time, whether it plays out or goes bust. I am still a member of the forum roofer mentioned....at the moment there is one trader still there who I learn from....I post charts, sometimes the setups play out, sometimes they get busted....the odd thing is that no one ever asks why the ones that bust go bust, or what I was thinking regarding the setups that play out. The general lack of curiosity is really interesting, but not surprising, as I have seen it in my other lines of work also.
One thing I do know....I am often slow to see the turns....when I'm looking one way and I see Jim or Roofer looking the other way the last thing I do is dig in. Perhaps knowing the limits of your own knowledge is the first step?
Hang in there, Jim. Save your energy for those who appreciate it. In my opinion, any trader who doesn't think they should pay for your books obviously has no idea what's in them and most likely wouldn't know what to do with it if they did...
