On the way to 40s area, there is also substantial resistance around 2020.
It includes two sublevels: 22-24 and 13-14, below which ES finished Friday.

Okay, so in the H contract (which will stop trading tomorrow), the line intersection, which I will use to examine this, is at about 45.25, and it hit 37.25 today, or about 8 points short. In M the intersection is at about 37.25 (hence the 35-40 area), and it hit 27.25 today so far, or about 10 points short. So, I got confused when I was checking some other older lines on the H contract and saw it hit the numerical level we had been talking about, not properly processing that I was looking at H data at the time. Just trying to do too many things at one time and post. This is the first time since I've been trying to post the blow by blow that I just couldn't keep up. Anyway, it's one more pump away from the area, either way.

My mistake here, in a sense. I was looking at my chart with the better liquidity and work, which was the basis H, where it hit the area. I am too busy right now to sort this out. I will get back to it later.

Anyway, the ES hit 37.25 in the overnight, our much discussed 35-40, where it checked back. I do not think this area will stop it. Until something changes my working assumption is it is more likely than not headed to new all-time highs. Understand, I could change that view in less than a nanosecond if I get any hint any price action is not consistent with that viewpoint. And there will be checkbacks along the way. It is very, very stretched right now.

There is also a nice sublevel at 32-33 for the ES.

I was more thinking it was so tired already it would be lucky to even get to the area I mentioned. But, if it gains traction, who knows.

Yes. Pound coming back to 1.44 would be nice.
