I'll start the topic for this week with this:

I'm expecting some great action, and always on the lookout for the 'top' to be in place. Here, early summer in the 1600's, year end at 2000, who knows. But I suspect it will be one of them. Maybe not. I'll just be reading the clues and finding the setups. That's what I do best, I think...

Looking for the pop deep into the area on the close, or right after.

This was the expected bounce to the expected area. It did it straight up, as expected. It forms another H&S possibility, by my eye. This is an area I think is worth trying to play. No one should do anything because I mention this. It is for educational discussion purposes only. And this thing may be up another 30 tomorrow. This is immediate countertrend, and is something only the extremely experienced should even think about. I'm just saying, for me, my opinion, I think this area is one to use for management and to potentially trade off of. Probably it will just blast right over it just because I am pointing it out here.

Now, that being said, I have a 'proprietary' sentiment indicator I am developing, and it says new highs are coming. It doesn't say they must come right from here, it could pull back in a little, but it does say new highs before a 'big' correction. Take it for what it's worth, it's just something I'm experimenting with, but it has been reliable many times before in my opinion.

Understand, too, for the above indicator, it is more a daily chart (or perhaps a little bit lower) sentiment indicator, not a 3-min or even 15-min sentiment. So, don't confuse very short-term trading timeframes with the bigger picture in here.

A good start for this. That's all I can ever ask for. Even if it blasts straight up from here, it has moved enough for some work to be done. This is all I ask for from any setup, to be given the chance to go to work.

Here's the latest Verify the CPI report. His calculations show annual PCPI at 27.1%. Hmmm, right in line with what I was saying. Let me just point one thing out. At an annual rate of 27.1%, after five years, the buying power of the dollar you save today for your retirement is just a tad over 30 cents. That's about a 70% theft of your hard work. After ten years you're at about 9 cents, an approximately 91% theft. This is serious, folks, I'm not kidding here. Ten years from now, if it doesn't get any worse, all the money I have saved for my entire life, worked and slaved and 'did all the right things', so to speak, will buy 9% of what it does for me today.
How can I retire on that? Cover all those medical bills that aren't covered by the crappy medical insurance that costs me more than all my other expenses combined? The answer is clear, I won't be able to. What happens to a squirrel when he heads in for the winter with nuts he saved all summer, only to find someone stole almost all of them? The answer is clear, he perishes. So shall many. Very many. Tough. Too bad. I can hear the power elites now. Let them eat cake. Nothing changes.

P.S. For sadistic fun, if inflation is at 50% your retirement dollars will lose about 70% of their buying power in just three years! A lifetime of work, vaporized that fast. But don't worry, you'll never see it, because your money will be appropriated long before that. 401(k)'s and IRA's will be 'annuitized' by the goob-er-mint, and cash in the bank will be stolen for 'bail ins'. All will be consumed by the monster.
And I'm not saying this because this guy said it in his report, this is 'old news'. I've been talking about the 401(k)'s and IRA's for years now. It's all coming, and it looks like there is nothing we can do to stop it. I said it long ago, and I'll repeat it again: "Greenspan (and awhile ago I revised it to: Greenspan, Bern-qwacke, and the power elite they work for) will be responsible for more human suffering than Hitler." I've never wanted to be wrong more, but I'm as sure that I'm going to be right as I am sure it is raining up here in the rainforest right now...

I know this is the trading topic, and this belongs in the economic section, but to just give everyone an idea how insane this is getting, the Dutch are working on a proposal to artificially raise home rent much, much higher, 'to induce people to buy homes' and get home prices on the rise. By most calculations their home prices have only fallen about a third of the way they need to fall, and they want to destroy the entire rental market and, like Bern-qwacke has forced retired people into the stock market, they will force everyone into overpriced homes they can't afford.
What about people who invested to rent houses? Too bad. What about people who are not doing so well and still have to rent, at outrageous prices? Too bad. What about people who have to move often and renting is better for them? Too bad. And what about more governments stepping into free enterprise and distorting markets with manipulation, to force people to do things, and the consequences of that? Too bad. Too bad, too bad, too bad. Suck it up, the goob-er-mints know what is best for us.
