I'll start the topic for this week with this:

I'm expecting some great action, and always on the lookout for the 'top' to be in place. Here, early summer in the 1600's, year end at 2000, who knows. But I suspect it will be one of them. Maybe not. I'll just be reading the clues and finding the setups. That's what I do best, I think...

Here's a follow up from my posts yesterday. The point of this post is to see how the information I show lines up with what is unfolding, and why I am spending my time trying to do blow by blow comments. I recently said I do not like to differentiate what use I may find for posted levels, among other reasons, to prevent anyone from attempting to trade off the areas I am posting (the site is for purely educational purposes only). Not all areas are for trading against. This way, people are forced to do the work, to do the studying, and to try to figure out not only why those levels are key to me, but what their 'context' is with respect to trading. That being said, this area was one I was waiting for for some time.

..."If we get 'the bounce' I'm looking low 70's..."
At that time the price was around 46. So, I thought this time I would make clear my view of the area. Here's the chart, and what happened.

All the above being said, I'm not saying that readers in here shouldn't post in advance trades. In fact, I think that would be great, and it is sorely lacking in here. We wind up, like most other forums, loaded with wonderful after-the-fact posts. I'm not saying they aren't great from an educational standpoint, but in advance stuff is also needed to balance things. I'm just saying that because of my unique role in here, and being, technically, a 'vendor' (that's too funny), I need to refrain from doing in advance posts where I make it clear how I would view the area. My 'solution' is to post levels to watch, but not make it clear all the time if they are for trading against, management, clues, etc.
rat and Marcin are contributing quite nicely as far as doing in advance posts, so hats off to them. I would like it if you guys could say what you plan to do with the areas, and then follow up with entry, stop placement, and management. I'd rather see less setups and more complete follow through, so readers can learn more about the entire process, and not just one aspect, setups. In my 'Trading Plan' the setup is about 10%-20% only, which is as it should be, according to KT methodology tenets. So, that is a request I have of you guys, if you can. I think it would just make this so much better of a forum.

Thanks Jim. Nice chart with your comments. That makes me think again that maybe I should read all this stuff more carefully :)

the 30 minute spy chart I posted has two things.....bullish kane abcd to key area....and the beginnings of a bearish head and shoulders - if the abcd doesn't play out back to the high....
