Yes I see that bearish formation.

Now go back to where we made the high @ 1152.
Look to the right of the high. See that bearish
separating line.

If candles have equal closes instead of equal opens does it have any significance

What makes the separating line carrie the weight is the
close. For me any candle pattern weighs on the close.

So a bearish separating line...the first candle will
have a higher close / the second will have a lower close,
but both will have the same open.

The higher the time frame the more weight it carries.

Today’s Candlestick Patterns:
Black Spinning Top
Bearish Meeting Lines

Candlestick Pattern

Today a Black Spinning Top was formed. This represents complete indecision between the bulls and the bears.
For more about this candlestick click here.

The last two candlesticks formed a Bearish Meeting Lines Pattern . This is a bearish reversal pattern that marks a potential change in trend. However, its reliability is not very high and it requires confirmation. (Courtesy American Bulls )

I know that pattern as the "counter attack"
To confirm any pattern I use volume and the pattern
location.

The more candles I have in a pattern the stronger, the
more volume the better as I trade these patterns mostly
on a 5min. time frame and look to larger time frame for
bigger moves.

It's as important where the pattern is in the move as
the pattern itself.

I don't trade with MAs ... but recently I started looking at them .. I have set up a quad chart with different time frame of MAs .. Today at 11:30am et. all four MAs came together and in fact price hit them about the same time .. I just got started with this so I'll post what I see from time to time .. looks good so far .. My intent is to use them as a confirming tool not a primary ...
