Hi Jim,
Thanks for opening this Forum to your students and giving us an opportunity to show our charts and share our ideas.
Here is a chart of todays ABCD's in the russell. I will post a context chart later. Today was one of those days where the market changes direction on Jim's unique Fib numbers, Had you been trading with standard fib numbers you may not have noticed these PTA's. Is it me or is .564 becomming more and more prevalent?

Nice work, Duane, you are pretty much on my setups for the day. Take that last 'adjusted' set, and lock it at the C point instead, and you'll have my set. Why there? The run up was strong and steep, so I figured, on average, it would be 'out of the set', and an ABCD would complete at the average bottom of the set. Redo the chart and post it in here, it is cool. This is something I have really developed a lot lately, and that I cover in mentoring sessions.
Understand, everyone, I constantly mention the mentoring not to 'advertise' or try to get more students (in fact right now I am so desperate for free time that I may not do any additional mentoring for awhile, except for those I've already committed to), but because there is so much I have refined or developed that isn't in the books, I have to refer to how that source material could be accessed. I could literally write as many new books as I have written so far, or more, probably more, but the writing days are over. Even the mentoring may have some limit down the road and then I'll not do it any more, so whatever I get out there at a level above the books will be whatever it is,and then it will have to stand. So, take the mentor comments in that 'context'.

Mine was tilted down a little tiny bit more, to get the A point a little closer to that outer upper division line, and to balance out the price action from the B and C points a little better at the lines, but that was it. See how nicely the price followed it the rest of the day?

i am confused.as far as i know, i am the only target trader here. i know exactly to the penny why i was bailing out of my short at qqqq 4210 and looking to reverse based on work i have already shown here..and if needs be i will show it here in detail... could someone show me the exit on short and entry on long in the ER and if and how you knew in advance to take trade? i thought everyone else was exiting basis trailing stops and buying on first abcd pullback to line.

Duane, you want to explain what you did? I know I had a very exact, specific plan, but I need to get some sleep. I will try to detail what I did tomorrow. I think Geo you might find it is more semantical than you thought, since I tighten up trailing stops greatly when approaching an area I might want to trade in the opposite direction. My main point on trailing stops vs. targets is that I never take off a position when it is still moving in my favor, no matter if I have the biggest perceived brick wall in front of me or not. I wait until it reverses against me, but how tight those trailing stops are is totally discretionary. If I'm trading a 3-min setup into a 60-min setup the opposite way, the stops get real tight as the area is hit. The 'context' and timeframes guide what I do, and it varies by what timeframe the current run is from, and what timeframe the area(s) it is hitting are on.

Also, Geo, I'm not sure you are the only target trader in here, since one of the things I hear all the time is how hard it is for a student to stay with a trade. Trend trading is a very unnatural act, it seems, and I would say most lean way more towards what you do than what I teach.
