I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Although 'context' surely must be thoroughly assessed here, are you all seeing the ABCD in RBOB? For those unfamiliar, that's not a ticker, that's what they call unleaded gasoline now. RB would be the futures root code.

So M, crew, did you all see the Russell ABCD and the 4.4 point bounce just about dead off the tight area? The curious thing (someone needs to do a chart in the DT II area for this) is the big 'roofer set' on the 13/60 that this is pushing up on the upper // on. This is very crucial. It looks ready to take that out. Notice, too, the DT ABCD we spotted at yesterday's open, and how that is centered right around the ML for this big set.

Look at the respect for that roofer line so far. But it still isn't acting the way I would expect if the line is to hold longer-term.

There are so many things in the 860 area on the Russell it's just nuts.

No sorry. I've had exactly 5 minutes today to look at some posts in the forum today and that's it.
This brings me to something I've meant to ask for a long time and I don't want to insinuate that I am ready at this point to do this, but at what point does a person decide to become a full-time trader?
Is it previous trading success as a part-time trader?
Is it th confidence that has been gained based on the hours that have been put in? What are the criterias for people?
At what point is the decision made to quit the day job and make this the day job?
I'd be really interested/grateful in hearing what the ones who've taken this step have to say about this.

Where is everybody? The forum was humming nicely, we get a bunch of new members, and it goes dead. Duane, we need to solve your Ensign chart posting problem. Let me know how to help figure this out.

OK, I just heard a talking head get asked what the problem was with the market, and he says 'It's all about the rates...' Hmmm, seems I've been saying that for well over a year now. And in my last commentary I mentioned how it is set up to roll over here (at the 'critical' 5% area) just in time for the market to feel relief, do a final blow off, and then the multi-decade channel gets blown out to the upside. Imagine if it did unfold, from a standpoint of the clues the tools gave in advance for that potential scenario.

There is quite an area around 830 on the Russell mini, but it's hard for me to imagine it going straight there with this gap above, unless they get an afternoon panic. We need D to post some charts...

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
