I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.
I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

So, slap some numbers on there for us, D. ABCD numbers, .786, .886, 1.272 BC, etc. Do a modified Schiff and standard set of the key swing points, and let's see what you got.

That's exactly why I've been buying up Euros for the last couple of years. Not to make money, but to preserve capital.
At the same time I believe a whole lot needs to happen until we see a real devaluation or default of the dollar. There are too many foreign investors ( China anyone?) who can't afford to let the dollar slip too much. I think we'll definitely see the Euro hit 1.40 pretty soon and 1.50 is absolutely realistic.
IB let's you trade in foreign currencies, too.....

D, I used to use Metrader for a couple of years for Forex charts.
It's nice because it's free and you can write your own scripts.
Drawing is pretty limited however (especially pitchforks)
Have you gotten away from Ensign?

GOOG is just going nuts here. It's shooting for the new all-time high, again. Look at that ramp into the close on the 1-min. Wow. Look at stocks like BIDU, and RIMM. And some say speculation is dead...

Hi M,
No, I don't think I will ever give up Ensign. I was just trying out a demo account. I have been looking at the FOREX market because of the strong trend and well defined ABCD's. I am not looking to daytrade the FOREX, I was looking at the 4hr and Daily charts. Metatrader does not have the right tools for Kane traders. Maybe I will try the FXCM feed for Ensign. Have you tried this?

D,
If you want to look at currencies I'd suggest looking at continuous futures contracts, and for lower timeframe work, the front month contracts. At least you have the benefits of futures regulation, as opposed to the unregulated FX, with all the fraud and trading against the dealing desk and phony stop stealing they do.

Thanks Jim, I will definitely look at trading the futures instead of the FOREX market.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
