I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

We need to figure out why, because we need a chart poster for this...

Near term bullish development in the broad market indexes...small caps hovering at top of range, relative strength divergence against big caps and mid-caps,well, in the middle. Late price action and geometry suggest a bullish bias ,short-term. So the relative strength leader is currently in small caps(russell 2k).Going with the flow as things evolve. PTAs only matter when price gets there. No need to anticipate anything.
I cannot post charts either. weird.

Btw,
Bullish D=B abcd showing on the daily SPX chart, hit right at area of multiple lines/groupings convergence, retest of .382fib retrace ala Roofer'lightning'style.
So we have pattern+lines+fib+context with "zero" inflation+the Feds cheerleaders printing money+rising foreclosures a non issue+weak dollar+oil at record high+global warming, etc...but it's okay right? why worry? it's all cool...we all know trading is a business so as long as there is money to be made, it's business as usual to me,nothing personal.

Tony,
It's not an OS issue, it's something on the website. It gives and ASP error. Re: Vista, I use it at times and it works fine if you tune it right.

yoohoo !
what a day it was for the Russell! Amazing turned Awesome $$$. The move off that D=B abcd pattern in the daily SPX was my clue to look for long plays in the relative strength leader, wich was the mini-Russell2k as noted in my previous posts. Now we sit at an area of a bearish Flat where we could potentially get some reaction move off of. And if it does react then any short-side trades, for my part, would be in the weaker index futures wich is the ES currently. Makes sense, right?
Jim, I hope U didn't miss that cool runner in the MR today.Too bad I couldn't get to the HT chatroom to discuss things in realtime with you.(Thanks to freakn' WinVista I can't log in and it pisses me off)
ok, good trading and seeya.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
