I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Exactly, T. And although anything can happen before the AM, I sure like the big move of 16 points so far off that 4-Point. The thing I want to watch for is that nasty habit they have of dropping the futures way down, and then buying on the open, or shortly thereafter, and just rushing it straight up without pause, in a tax $ inspired gov manipulation (that's my opinion of what is happening, anyway). But I'm liking what I see so far.

So, it does a flat 'wave 4', then another small push up, slightly exceeding the area, to the 1.272 area off the 'wave 4', then sells, comes up for a 'wave 2' in an ABCD, and then sells harshly. Is this a small 'head and shoulders' top at the pattern area (look at the TD in the INDU), or just a small ABCD here, and up they go again? I can say one thing, if there ever was a sell the news time, this is set up for it as good as I have ever seen. Lots of hype, and a big run up into it. And almost everything technical saying 'sell'. All I know is I got a signal there, some cushion now, and if it goes up, that's just fine. If it doesn't follow through, it gave me an initial move I can do some work with, and that's all I ever ask.

So far, so good, but I'm still suspicious of the manipulation rampers. It would be cool as all get out if this was the rollover point, but I suspect they are going to come right back in and run it back up. We'll see. Sell the 'news' make the most sense to me, and that is why I am the most suspicious about it. In my opinion, I'm logical and the market/people aren't, so I have to make sure I'm trying to think like the market, not like me. Trade what I think they will do, not what I think I would do.

One thing I will say, with the exception of a few like Tice and Roubini, I have never seen so many people say we are going up big in here. Laundry, Fleckenstein, every last analyst and specialist on the NYSE, it's just 100% across the board this is it, we are in rally mode with a long ways to go. Even super-negative 'the US sucks and the dollar will be zero soon' Faber now says the S&P will rally another 19% from here by May, to 1037, which would have it up about 40% off the low. I'm not saying we may not rally that much from here, it would make a sensible bear market rally, it just seems so unlikely so many would call it so perfectly, and participate. If so, I've never seen such a move so well called by everyone on TV. Sentiment is so bullish it's unreal to me, and the conviction that 'it's a done deal, we rally from here' is just pervasive. Hey, I won't fight the trend, but I am wary, and very amused at all this. No matter what, it's going to be fun. Lots of fun.

hey jim they could well rally it up to 1037 in primary wave 2 by May and faber would be right but it culd well be slammed down to 640 first to catch everyone of guard to complete primary wave 1 which we havent done the wave structure doesnt support the 741 as being the low in I could well be wrong but I dnt think I am and I will trade what i see regardless of what the mkts does but I have my view like everyne else.

You really have to wonder who is lying and who is telling the truth. Here's a curious article that lines up with my own view.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
