I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

I don't have wheat since CBOT decided to charge for it, but I heard they are going to start offering the e-mini package for $15/month April 1.

I have so many things coming together, including an ABCD, at SP cash 1380 area, it's just crazy. Maybe it's a 'wave 3', but if the sentiment turns, this is a spot I want to watch very, very closely...

Nice little move off that wheat ABCD so far. Can't complain about that.

That's it. There are even a few other lines from adjusted sets in there. Plus, the big flat ABCD and the smaller ABCD in the CD leg. That's my line in the sand, after that all I have is the double bottom ABCD spot.

What makes it especially cool is that my equivalent areas for the INDU and the Naz comp put them a tiny bit over the Feb highs the talking heads keep saying on TV would be a profoundly significant 'technical breakout'. So, they sweep those stops and down it goes? That would be one of the most beautiful things I might then have ever seen.

Here's what I find so interesting. We hit SP 1380 and reacted, but they just keep pushing it up. See my latest free commentary for some basic thoughts on the price action. I am seeing just a slew of bearish setups across the board. The transports, the INDU, the NASDAQ Comp, and individual stocks so numerous I can't count them all. All at the same time, right in here. Roofer is well aware of this phenomenon. The last this happened recently things played out as per the setups. But after the last small sell-off into the close Friday, the futures are up solid now, almost back to the Friday high, and looking strong. This is try number five (or eight if you break up the group of four swing highs on the 1st and 2nd), including the premarket shot on the 4th. This is not right to me. An area like this, with so many things all hitting, should be dumping vigorously by now. I am very, very wary this is going to gap up and blow out to the upside.

The issue for me from a trading standpoint is to not get so convinced the areas must hold that if the market says otherwise I am not ready to act because I am so wedded to an idea, feeling it 'must work' because it looks so good. On the other hand, earnings season really kicks off tomorrow with Alcoa, and perhaps that could change the sentiment from this rampant bullishness. I rather doubt it, though, as they are just giddy with the desire to buy. Also, look at AA. There is a weekly alternate ABCD it has been playing out off of, it then pulls back in a double top ABCD right to a key line and .447, and heads up strongly. Now it sits as a sort of cup and handle here, ready to blast to about new nine month highs. I'd be hard pressed to see anything there as bearish.

So, although there is this incredible lineup of bearish setups right here and now, I am going to let the market tell me what it thinks of them. If the go (blow out, don't play out) that has me thinking that 1420 or even the 1470 SP area is possible, as mentioned in the commentary. This is just such an incredible area and confluence of setups, and such unusual action for such an area, I wanted to get some thoughts down here, in advance, as tomorrow likely will be it.

Finally, roofer mentioned the GLD setup, and that he felt in his gut it wasn't right. That's an alternate ABCD that sent it up, and I was watching for that. Now it sits at a key area to send it down. But the bigger pattern predominates for me in almost every case, until proven otherwise. If already long in a case like this, I use the area to get a read on the issue's intentions and work that into my management plan. I also noticed that the futures were not yet at their area, and were up strongly in the overnight here, but have come off a bit as the area was approached. This is what makes this all the more intriguing. Both the market and gold at bearish setups at the same time. That shouldn't play out. One or the other should give way.

So, I look at gold and I feel like the bigger pattern will more likely play out, but it may come off the smaller setup a bit as a 'wave 2', and then continue up. This would equate to the market going up as gold rolls off the setup, hence taking out the areas. But if the SP, for example, made it to 1420, could it do that and gold only roll to a nice 'wave 2' spot, and then it goes up and the market gets pounded? May be. That surely is one scenario I am watching.

If the market does roll off the areas on say a 'bad' AA report, then I'd expect gold to blow out the smaller setup. But I heard AA is expected to report a drop of like 43% or 47% in earnings, or something like that. I just can't imagine they report a drop of 52% and the market falls apart. And if they 'only' drop 38%? Ramp time. The way it is set up, I can't see how anything they report would be bad for the market, the expectations are so low now, and the bulls so delirious. Just be ready in case they gap it up over the key areas, because that's a major blowout from where I stand, and if they follow through on it, that would be something. That's my two-thousand cents...

Hmmm, so I heard AA reports before the bell, and it turns out to be after the bell. That let the bulls totally have their way so far. They have been pushing on the areas all day, but the SP is the only one I have seen peak above the main spot. Also, I just heard an unequivocal declaration from a trader and money manager I know that the bear market is over, no ifs, ands, or buts, and financials are a major buy.

We are seeing a little selling here, so, I'm still watching to see what happens, but those bulls are drunk (punch drunk?) with power now off that $5 billion infusion into WM (which I thought was going to fall next, the way it was acting). Looks like the game continues. Nothing will fail, or go down, the powers that be will see to that. Nothing like a 'free market economy', as I hear on TV all the time...

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
