I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.
I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Hey, it's your forum. I'd love to see it strong, but it's for you guys, not me. I just dabble here and there when I can, to add to the material you guys are posting. I just know if I had a resource like this when I started I think I would have been really blown away. Instead I had books from the book store chains, and infomercials :-) So, I would just love to see it stay strong, for the benefit of everyone. But only you guys (and girls) can do it.

Agreed 100%. But your's and Roofer's presence make this forum special, because neither of you need to be here since you've already mastered your art. That's why I put that last line there. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are all blown away by the quality of this forum.

I have my own 'stack' on the short side here, and the 'context' is telling me it may be ready to go up, so I am watchful of an 'upside breakout' in here. Do some work if you want to try and figure out what I am looking at.

Anyone here trade stocks through IB? They have zero shortable stocks right now? Has anyone seen this before?

i have not had the problem yet... some stocks qid and uso i have to have them call on each time my screen refuses. when i traded at an ib not backed by a large house, it was a constant problem...probably a reflection of the record short interest and the crackdown going on with naked shorts at this time.

This thing just looks ready to dump in here... If it is to go up, I think they better come in soon. I have a lot of things right here.

I would keep a very close watch on the small ABCD that just formed in rates, or in the ZN if you prefer. This is set up right after a poke through the multi-decade trend channel. I suspect this may pull back for a bit before that channel goes completely, but this is worth watching, 'in case'. Price action is key.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
