I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Well, I'm back to totally discouraged. Someone who also visits this forum just posted all the 'adjusted' sets over at MG. Before that he has posted many charts and not shown this, at my request. As roofer has stated, much of this can be done with modified Schiff or inside sets, but when you show it as an 'adjusted' but call it one of the others, it is different, because it shows the ML going way back, which has information, and it clarifies the logic many or most people don't see. One of the charts shows the INDU lines I posted in my last commentary, but showing the endpoints and clearly how they were formed, which was cut off and not clear in the commentary, on purpose. Once this is digested over at MG it will likely lead to a lot of discussion and it will be totally out there.

I really think this will have a great negative effect, especially as far as noise in the line areas. I am rapidly approaching the point where I am not going to work with anyone or show any more techniques, and go back to being underground. I just can't justify making any more concepts known, especially if those that stand to benefit from keeping it quiet make it public so the entire world can see it. It makes no sense to me why anyone would do that, but I'm the guy who wrote the books, and figured asking people to keep it quiet out of self-interest would work, so maybe I'm no smarter than a box of hammers...

I don't think so, and when something slipped one time in the past with someone else he asked Tim to remove the chart, and it never happened, probably because Tim was so busy. I think only a moderator could do it, but only if the person wanted them removed. I sent the poster a note, but I don't know yet what the response will be.

I looked and I think I saw what you were referring to. If I am right he posted a bunch of different charts mostly with standard sets, and there were a adjusted sets on a couple of charts . I guess it will be seen if anything is going to pick up on it. The fact that he mixed them in with a lot of other charts could mean that it gets overlooked.

Darn it !?!
so basically the issue is that a "legit" member of our KT forum is posting stuffs he shouldn't be posting on other public boards. This is serious and I am outraged from hearing this.
Remember the mypivot'file sharing privacy issue from a few months ago? It really had me freaked out when I first uncovered the problem. I stopped my postings in this forum because this had me worried. Now that I just got over it and Im trying to post again,we get another "leak" to a public forum.I just hope we can avoid disaster.I have no control over this matter so all I can do is ask the KT member who did the mistake of showing KaneTrading private material to outsiders'forums to stop ruining it for us please.Respect Jim's work and other members' work/contributions too. Please DO NOT reveal Jim's work, concepts and specific techniques to non-members.
I wonder what to do now...to post or not post in here? this is so disturbing to me and I can't imagine Jim's frustration over this 'leakage' problem. It feels like a stab in the back, to me it does ,really.

The member who I think is in question here has not been very active in this forum with only a handful of posts and none since last summer. Point I am trying to make is that it's got nothing to do with this forum. Anyone who bought Jim's bookset could potentially go out there and post away.
It is a standard procedure and really should be common sense courtesy to a) ask the author for permission to post elsewhere b) if permission is granted to ask for exact guidelines as to what can be posted (like Roofer has done at times) and c) if permission is denied to respect that.
Of course if all this stuff was under copyright (is it?) or even trademarked any author would have the grounds for a lawsuit.

Well, I am in contact with the gentleman, who seems like a great guy, and what he was actually trying to do was do inside and modified Schiff sets, and had labeled them such, but actually did them via the adjusted method. He didn't intend to have it look that way. I am in the process of doing a few charts for him to show how they look using the other techniques strictly, and hopefully that will end this issue. As roofer mentioned awhile back, a lot of this can be done via other ML tools, and I mentioned it can be, but without some of the lines at some of the places I want to watch for interaction. Once he starts to post via the more standard look of the sets he is using, this should all be over, except the questions that may arise from what is posted, and the ideas it may spurn.

It reminds me of a story (doesn't everything?). Recall in the movie 2001, where the monolith first appeared to the human precursors? Most people didn't understand that hum it gave off was 'inspiration'. It communicated to the 'monkeys' (yes, I know monkeys aren't direct ancestors to humans, it's an exression here), and then you saw the monkey turn its head and look at that bone differently for the first time in history. It thought about it like a potential weapon, and the next thing you know, we are here. Remember the next monolith, on the moon, calling them? I just don't want to have that handle waving out in the wind, there, as it will act like the monolith. Sooner or later someone will get insprired, as I did, and start twisting it around, and then he'll be building a rocketship, and...

Hmmm, the CBOT finally wrapped up its discontinuation of the 'free' mini data, like the YM. Now you have to subscribe to the full CBOT for $60/mo even if you want just the YM. Those exchange fees just keep going up and up and up...

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
