I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.
I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

I know that something needs to give and this mess really needs to be cleaned up but for us traders I wish the action would just stay this way...

Here's an interesting link, with an interesting viewpoint:

It's really hard for me to read this kind of stuff. Reminds me of the Illuminati....doesn't make the day brighter...

Here's something I am pondering. This is set up for an ultimate 'sell the news' event here. I have almost everything at key areas, and when it started to roll today it went right to obvious spots (the ES was a 1.000 ABCD within .25) and rocketed up for a strong close right off a new high for the day, right as we have an historic event happening. To me, that is as good as it gets for a 'sell the news' setup. Now, maybe it doesn't, maybe the market just keeps up this incredible run without pause. I just wanted to mention that it is one possibility I am ready for. Right now the futures are flat, after some very mild ranging, given the situation. It is possible that if we are to see a big gap the best trigger may be well before the open. Or maybe we do nothing, and have a moderate day tomorrow. I have no idea at all what they will do, but I laid out what I see here, just to prep everyone for that possibility.

I sure am glad I mentioned what I thought might happen in here before the fact...

I had some thoughts to pass on here. I noticed that as DIS reported, which I thought was just an awful report, they dropped hard, then came back, making back a lot of the drop. The futures didn't seem to care one bit about the report. That gave me the first inkling we may be ready for bounce mode. After all, about a 1,000 points nearly straight down needs to come in a bit. Next, the Asian markets started out way down, reflecting our market, and now have made it all back, give or take. Meanwhile, our futures keep getting stronger.
I am thinking that unless the jobs report is just horrific, they seem to be ignoring bad news once again, and that may have this moving up regardless. If the jobs report is really bad, though, all bets are off. I'm ready for some long side action, and readying my shorting areas above. But, as always, price action is king, so I'll see what unfolds. As for this aftermarket action, I got a trigger awhile back for the long side (look at the ABCD that is also part of a bigger flat, at 19:55 Eastern), so I'm going to see what unfolds here, too, in the meantime.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
