I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

"Look at the grains, too, especially corn..." Right off the pattern.

What a dead topic. I guess I have so little time for this forum, like everything else... For those of you that follow futures, do some work on coffee, OJ, cattle, and in a while, perhaps, lean hogs. Notice beans and meal getting some traction in here. And watch that Euro as it reacts off that flat ABCD. This may be a 'wave 4' type scenario. The bigger alternate ABCD is still trying to make up its mind, wave 3 or CD leg. Now this flat. Good material to study here for everyone.

I was going to mention pork bellies, but didn't. Now I see we have a topic. Did you see what launched this burst up? I have been watching them for quite awhile in that congestion when it set up a launchpad. On another note, keep a close, close eye on that Euro as it hits the low end of the range for that flat ABCD, right at the 'support' area for the bigger ABCD. Although this could roll and chop around for who knows how long, it may also make a decision and show this is 'wave 4' in here. Recall there is a key line area way down around 125 this may head to if that is the scenario 'they' have in mind for currencies. After all, the Fed traditionally stops at 5.50 to 6.00 with the Fed funds hiking cycle, historically, and I have said just about forever that I thought they would go to 6.00. If so, and they don't hike on par overseas, this area could be reached. Just one scenario I am looking at.

Anybody in here follow ICE? Now there's a stock that reminds me of the late 90's. It's in that group with CME, another stock that thinks it is still in the bubble market.

Everyone watching ICE? Did you see that B=D ABCD? Look at the 60-min or even 15-min. Look at the setup before that, and before that. This thing is amazing. Market strongly down, and it is exploding.

You all watching BBY? Down just like Geo said, and then up, just like I suspected, now right at that key area I thought would get taken out, and reacting to it in a small ABCD. Those that were members have seen some of my work on what I think that means. This will be interesting...

I get asked a lot what I mean by 'fade', as in fade the setup, or fade the entry. These two examples have different meanings, in a sense, but are based on the same general concept. 'Fade' means to do the opposite. So if I say I made 'fade' the setup, that means trade the opposite way the setup implies. An ABCD down would be a long setup, but I may short it if the setup area fails. I 'faded' the ABCD pattern.

When I refer to people who 'fade into' their trade I mean they enter without an entry signal or trigger, they simply get in as it hits the PTA. For a long setup the issue is going down and they simply catch a falling knife, hoping it reverses. It is a 'fade' because the issue is going down and they go long, doing the opposite of the immediate price action. I essentially never do this.

Understand, though, that various entry triggers can have widely varying degrees of confirmation, and although I, personally, like a lot of confirmation, sometimes I use a trigger on the low end of the confirmation scale. Even waiting for price to simply stall is an entry trigger, and not a fade, in my opinion. I hope this helps explain how I am using these terms.

So, did you look at it? ABCD right at an upper //, BC leg centered around the ML. Now off about 17%, sitting right at a key trendline and .886. Don't say I did't tell you to watch this...

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
