I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.
I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Okay, if you don't like conspiracy theory and crazy stuff, skip this one. Not necessarily the article, but my comments. I have a crazy theory.
http://www.zerohedge.com/article/cdc-h1n1-forced-quarantine-docs-leak
Keep in mind, I have not verified the accuracy of the info in that article. Now, as I said, I have crunched the numbers ten ways from Sunday, and I see no way the system can hold together. Also keep in mind, I may be dead wrong, this is simply my opinion. I will grant that they may come up with a monetizing bandage to keep it together for a little longer, but that's the best I can see. Now, if the system goes, the anger in the streets will create havoc, and it won't just be the U.S., it would be worldwide. Look at what happened around the world when food prices spiked. So, the gov needs a plan.
Enter H1N1. Now, as I hear it, maybe 35K-55K die every year from 'regular' flu, and we vaccinate heavily here. How many have died from H1N1, on a per capita basis? This seems to be a much, much smaller threat than regular influenza. Yet they now have quarantine forms available, and are passing laws for mandatory vaccinations? The MA law passed unanimously. Detention centers, not home quarantine? Heavy jail sentences for not accepting the vaccination, or not adhering to the home quarantine? Is this for real? This Nazi crap wants makes me to want puke.
I got to thinking this could be a big plan to create an epidemic, get a lot of people quarantined, in detention centers, in jail, and then when the system goes, they can implement the Amero and not lose control. People will be too sick and too controlled to do much. Is this crazy? Not as crazy as what has been done so far. Who would have thought the gov would obligate some $24 trillion to the 'bailout' and stimulus, and to boot have essentially no improvment in the economy. Now, that's crazy.
Now, once the economy starts to go under, they jump up and say 'It's this darn pandemic, just like after 9/11, that's what caused it.' This way, it isn't them, they are here to help, to see us through. There aren't riots and uprising, there is nothing but good feelings for the gov. I will tell you one thing, after seeing what I have seen so far, I am not comfortable being forcibly injected with something from one of a few companies that are in bed with the gov, where my rights to sue are stripped away, for something that has killed a handful of people. This all smells so fishy to me.
Why am I wasting good space here on a trading forum for this? Just like with Hitler, he started doing all sorts of things, and peopple just watched and did and said nothing. When do we wake up and say maybe we don't want to be injected and housed? After the fact? It may all be academic, since they have all sorts of things they can unleash on us, and they have all the power, so maybe we are just pawns. But at least do some thinking, and tell other people, and look over the situation before you become a cow walking up the ramp, asking the cow in front of you what that 'bamm, thump, bamm, thump' noise is. Didn't the gas chambers teach us anything?
And no, Jim hasn't gone around the bend, he's not ranting and raving and waving his arms in the air. I just want people to start thinking about what they are seeing before it's too late.

And yes, I know the wackos are jumping all over this and everything else, and it makes people want to dismiss everything. I always thought the best way to discredit Bigfoot as a possible real animal worthy of scientific study is to make sure it is on the tabloids every week, plus the more people buying wooden shoes to make the fake footprints the better. And if any entity planned to do something heinous, you can be sure they would 'conspiracy theory' it up ahead of time, so that when they unleashed their plan almost everyone would laugh at anyone who suggested it was a 'real' threat.

Okay, I rate this as the coolest, funniest, most awesome thing I have ever seen. But alas, it is also the most frightening thing I have ever seen, too. Given what this guy has done, and what he is in charge of, I can't handle the implications. It's truly amazing how clueless these people are, how much power they have given how clueless they are, and how little they are called on the carpet for it. I once saw a similar thing with Greenspan, and he was equally clueless.

Jim,
Thanks for the alert about the proposed trader tax. The trader tax worries me, too.
Here are some links regarding the proposed tax:
http://traderfeed.blogspot.com/2009/02/proposed-securities-transaction-tax.html
The "online mechanism for "writing your Congressional representative" is cool.
I found the Q & A section at:
http://www.govtrack.us/users/questions.xpd?topic=bill:h111-1068
to be educational.
I encourage interested parties to contact their congressional representatives.
Good Trading,
Al

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
