I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.
I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.
Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

Well, although it's probably not exactly accurate, I'd like to say 'I've never seen anything like that before'. Is that unreal or is that unreal, or what? Right off all those ABCD's. Yes, I've seen a few other bear market short-covering news induced rallies that were as strong, but this one is in the tiny handful of the very best of the best. Wow. And the market 'tipped its hand' ahead of time with all those bullish setups. Just unreal.

So, did everyone see the line confluence at these extended ABCD's that sent this thing moving down? Look at those futures now. Ho-hum, another day, another new all-time low for the dollar. Seems they are losing confidence in all these silly bailout plans. If this pullback were to be a 'wave 4' the futures shouldn't be down this far. Maybe they gun it up overnight from here (hah!) and then the data is aftermarket, and it can still act like a 'wave 4', but the short side looked great to me off the lines, so my bias is down for now, and I'll see what shapes up from here. I'm ready for the next leg down, but I'm feeling pretty bad for myself and everyone else from a consumer and citizen standpoint...

Hmmm, so the futures, which were down, jump up almsot 30 points on the news that JPM will aquire BSC for $2 a share. Now BSC was over 170, and was about 90 a few weeks back, and so why is this great for the market that they are taken out at $2? I guess I am failing to see the logic of why I would want to pay more for stocks now. I guess I must just not be that smart...

This afternoon they were talking about 2 billion to buy them at $20/share. Now it's about 1/10th of that.
They say the building that BS owns on Madison Ave alone is worth 1 billion. Talk about desperation. Sure looks like the Feds wanted to avoid this at all costs. They know if the first domino falls it's all over..
Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess.

Gave it all back, now dropping like a stone. They are being rational? About 60 points movement so far.

Now what gets me is that plenty of people, including this forum, have been pointing out the inherent flaws for a while now. Even public figures like Buffett, Soros etc... and those flaws are not speculation, they are facts.
And now they start waking up?? Are you kidding me? What channel have they been watching all this time?
I just don't get it. It's just unbelievable how rigid the thought systems out there are.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
