I thought I might try something different here, and see how it goes. It's quite difficult for me to post a lot to the various topics, especially with charts, since the method I use for posting charts is very cumbersome. Some charts can take me a half hour or more to put together. Since the charts I use for posting are not my 'working' charts, this work is duplicative.

I have various ideas and thoughts here and there about different things, and if I have a 'central clearing area' where I can just put out a sentence or two, pointing to something without doing the work, the members can do what assessment and analysis they want with the ideas, and post charts if they want, preferably to the respective areas they have for that topic. This way it would leave this topic more 'clean'. If you have a question or comment on what I was pointing out you could post that in here.

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this, or anything you think would be helpful/useful. Keep in mind I am not going to just tell you all my best setups in advance, especially if I plan to trade them, as that is not 'what I do' in here, or anywhere. I want to point out things that may need some work, and might go unnoticed otherwise, or are just of interest.

INDU up about 155 since the area. I'm not saying all this to 'brag' on my 'guess', only to show the power when they bust through an area that is very noticeable (one key set on here of my three, perhaps four sets, was the Russell mini equivalent natural set that roofer showed recently on the IWM). This layout had a bit of that 'KT rocking chair pattern failure setup' look to it, and if the area went, it implied a lot more as far as the entire 'context', shifting my bias completely.

Nice one, Jim. How about a nice little chart? We are starved for an original JK chart in here...

It's just so cumbersome for me to do the charts for in here...

Now, here's my thought for the day. China dropped over 20% in that last drop. Wait, that's an official bear market, according to every talking head on the planet. So, how many times did you hear that term used? For me, not one single time. But it's official, isn't it? I mean, that's the definition of a bear market, right? Well, you can see why they never mentioned it once, with their agenda and all. And it's almost all made back with seven up days in a row now anyway. Just thought it was funny how they only shoot off their mouths when it suits their agenda in some way.

As a trivia question, what makes 20% an official bear market? The story I heard was they were interviewing this analyst way back for a magazine article, and they pressed him for his definition of a bear market, and he kept waffling, not actually having one that he used himself. They pressed, and he said a correction of a certain size. They pressed more, and he said I don't know, like 20%. They published it, it stuck, and became the official standard used by everyone now. It never had any meaning, and afterwards the guy thought it was comical. I wish I knew how accurate this story is, who the guy was, and what magazine/issue it was. If anyone knows this, please post it.

jim- i am spending the 22 bucks a month for stockcharts for the ease of posting...if i have an idea i want to share, i can put the notation on it,copy it and post it usually in less than three minutes.without written notation usually less than two minutes...when i want to note your fib i simply take it from my other charts and note it..it does not have the ease of swinging the medianline tool, but you get good at improvising quickly...i wish everyone here would have it... i think the forum would be much deeper if everyone could quickly post charts.geo

Man, this forum went from the best I have ever seen to totally dead. Roofer gets some surgery, Duane has to move, M is busy with work, Pink is heavy into his transition, T dropped off the planet (work?), and all of the sudden it's all over but the crying. Just when we got a slew of new readers, too...

Jim,

I agree, it has gone quiet. That said, I have found great value in your material and am using it to make money. It would be nice for some of us newer users of your material to have more happening in the forum, but for what it's worth, I've already made a great trade by investing in your work.

Pete

At least it's getting quiet while we're heading into the summer months even though the action still seems quite incredible. I have no doubt we'll all be back in it soon. Don't give up on us Jim.

I think the second chart is particularly telling. I agree with the conclusion, this market is nothing more than Euro-yen carry trade on, Euro-yen carry trade off. No balance, no participation, no depth, as I discussed in my last monthly commentary, just leverage/deleverage, risk on/risk off, and that's it. Skynet is totally sentient. How long, like in the movie, until the machines decide to vaporize the useless humans?
